Hey Guys,
I run a small 3 slot server for basically a couple of my friends and we use a fairly extensive ~60 mod pack I've been maintaining. We currently use dropbox to sync up the mod files and MultiMC to actually put it all together. The guys know when the server complains to just replace their instMods/coremod/mods/config folders .. but its a bit of a pain.
I was wondering if there is an easier way? I'm looking for something that will keep well .. all that in sync, jar mods, coremods, mods, and their configs .. something similar to the tekkit launcher I guess, but more customizable.
Anyways, do let me know if there is anything simillar out there.
Thanks

honestly, I think You're probably doing it the simplest and most efficient way out there as of right now. Making Yourself a launcher might be simpler to use for installing, but the amount of extra work required to make a launcher that works, and constantly update the launcher to use new versions of packs... I'd say You're doing pretty good as is. Most people would be trying to send a .zip file everytime, which is more of a pain than anything else.
You could(perhaps, I've never thought of this until now) try putting the whole MultiMC folder in the dropbox? Since it's synced to each PC, each person (should) would be running their own copy(not over the network, but locally, if that makes sense), and You could automatically update the instances. The only catch is that You wouldn't want to try using it as an SSP MMC installation, that might get wierd..

That's be a bit weird too .. since everyone would be putting their own settings .. like Rei's waypoints and such .. I get a feeling there may be a lot of conflicts

And there is no easy to use customizable launchers?
Seems technic launcher is based on spout launcher .. neither seems easy to hack .. wish they just worked off a config file .. seems they have a lot of hardcoded things instead.
