All of my CTM projects are on hold until further notice! You can still stick around if you want, since I will probably come back to this someday...
Welcome, one and all, too...
What's This?
This is a series of Minecraft Custom Maps in the CTM (Complete The Monument) genera.
These maps consist of a monument (referred to as the Dungeon Heart) that must be completed by finding 16 colors of wool hidden in chests or acquired from mobs around the map.
The wool chests are encased in glass-and-stone containers (referred to as Fleecy-Boxes) in various areas of the map. Also wool may appear on a boss-mob (referred to as Fleecy-Mobs) to provide extra challenge.
Wool dungeons will be accessed either via an intersection (a central area with two or more off-branching paths) or by exploring an open sandbox style world.
There are four game types, as listed later on in this information section.
Furthermore, each map has a respawn and challenge difficulty. Respawn difficulty is how you may respawn, (all the time, only if you've reset it with a bed, not at all) whereas Challenge difficulty refers to the difficulty of dungeons in said map.
I hope you enjoy the maps! Oh, and expect to fail.
THE RULES
Find and complete the Dungeon Heart. It won't be too hard to find, but you might have to look a little bit.
Find wools in chests (Fleecy-Boxes) or on mobs. (Fleecy-mobs) Do not use sheep, dye, or spider silk.
You may craft Mineral Blocks for the monument. The monument requires iron, gold, and diamond blocks and you may craft these with the resources you find.
Use at least easy, never peaceful. These maps are balanced around normal. So if its a little too hard or too easy for you, you can adjust accordingly.
Do not leave the map boundaries. This isn't vanilla minecraft, so don't play in naturally generated terrain.
Survive in any way you can think of. You can mine, craft, place and break all blocks! Just don't cheat items in.
You may use spider string for non-DH uses. Beds, bows, paintings. Whatever floats your boat.
You may not build, move, or craft Enderchests or Nether Portals. You can, however, use the ones I give you for storage and transport.
Have fun! Above all, I want you to have fun. If one of these rules is holding back your fun, you have my permission to break them. Just don't try to claim legit victory if you do!
THE DIFFICULTIES
Respawn Difficulties
Easy | Respawn as many times as you need. There's no limit.
Difficult | Respawn is tied to a bed. If haven't slept, it's game over.
Hard | You only get three lives. Three strikes and you're out!
Dare Devil | For the risk takers. Only one life to beat the map with.
Challenge Difficulties
Easy | Essentially a cake-walk for the whole map.
Easy-Medium | Starts out peacefully enough, but ramps up to a greater challenge as you near the end.
Medium | Starts out with only slight difficulty, but quickly ramps up to a challenge and stays through to the end.
Medium-Hard | Starts out difficult, then ramps up to a sizable challenge as you near the end.
Hard | A brutal challenge the whole way through.
THE GAME-TYPES
There are four game-types in full-length CTMs
Linear-Branching | In this game-type, the wools are located in environmental dungeons (simply called Areas) that branch off from a central point. (referred to as an Intersection) Combat and innovative gameplay elements are emphasized with this game-type
Open-World | In this game-type wool are found in dungeons scattered around a large open-sandbox style world. Exploration and long-term survival are emphasized with this game-type.
Hub | In this game-type all areas branch off from a single, central Intersection. Many later areas loop back to this original area, and the Dungeon Heart is almost always in this central intersection. Resource managing, combat, and exploration (to a lesser extent) are emphasized with this game-type.
Continental | In this game-type the wool is scattered over an immense continent, with many unique terrain features to both benefit and challenge the player. Exploration is heavily emphasized with this game-type.

Advent Dungeons
Advent dungeons is a small series of maps made during the advent season. Usually there's 25 but not always.
The Traveler's Valley, where your journey begins...
The fabled Weeping Willows, the roots of what was once the tallest tree in the land, now they rot in a dark cavern beneath the earth...
The impenetrable fortress of Fort Bleakstone was built to house the Yellow Power Vessel, and it has stood for centuries as an desolate prison for the Vessel's energy. Numerous traps, curses, and abominable beasts lay in wait for those who venture forth into its depths...
The Splinterstone Mines, once the largest ore exporters in the kingdom, now they are the home of the cursed splinter-bugs...

-1-Advent Dungeons 01Coastal Chaos The great Huuvamin Dam, one of the largest natural dams in the region, has just broken! Thousands of gallons of water are pouring out, taking out ships and flooding cities. You are on a small island about to be hit, you need to enter the tidal wave and retrieve the two wools before they too are washed away! -2-Advent Dungeons 02Freedom Bridge Many prisoners have had to walk The Freedom Bridge. This deadly obstacle course is used to test criminals to see whether they must live or die. Those who fail will meet death. Those who succeed...a lighter sentence. You must now undertake this challenge and attempt to escape with the two wools...and your life. NOTE: This map is supposed to be in hardcore, but due to complications it is not. There is only enough gear for one attempt however, so treat it like hardcore.-3-Advent Dungeons 03Felldeep Spiral This twisting cavern of darkness is home to many undead abominations. Fight against the darkness, or else it will consume you. With what little you have, you must make careful choices about what you will take with you. Light? Weapons? Armor? The choice is yours, so choose well. -4-Advent Dungeons 04Hanging Gardens This mystical flying garden is a place where beauty of and purity reign...for now. An infestation is brewing beneath this serene land. Can you stop it? -5-Advent Dungeons 05Alcazar The Grand Alcazar, castle of the skies, prized of the heavens! But it holds a secret darkness within its hallowed halls... (intended to be a hard map, but ended up being on the easier side) -6-Advent Dungeons 06Bedrock Mines The fabled bedrock mines of the Runemount Dwarves. This ancient excavation is responsible for some of the strongest stonework in the kingdom. But now it is filled with a black, boiling fog...

Looks good. I might play it when it comes out, however I'm still playing 2 CTM maps at the moment, and I want to play From Ashes when I beat one of them. I'll get to it eventually, though.

There's still a few weeks until the first map comes out at the least. (I'm working double time to get it out soon as possible!) So maybe you'll be finished by the time it comes out!
Woah! That intersection looks amazing. I have to play this map or I'm going to pass out D:
lol, thanks! I'm working hard on the map, still don't have any idea when it will be out though. Thanksgiving will delay me a bit, but afterwards I should be able to devote some more time to map making!

Cannot wait to try out the first - I love the pics I've seen thus far.
Thanks! I'm working as fast as I can to get the first map out! And I know exactly what i want for the next 3 maps after that!
Thanks! Working hard on it, I might have the beta out in a couple of weeks, that's what I'm shooting for!
Can't wait for it to be out!
Hmmmm.... Suspicious Waterfall Is Suspicious...
Looks Good! Can't wait!
Thanks! I checked an off-brand crystal ball and all it told me was "Ask Again" and then it just took my wallet and ran off.
There's a reason that waterfall looks suspicious.

Glad i could intrigue you. Hope you enjoy the map once I release it.
Whenever this topic gets to page two, I will be releasing a full list of the area names for the first map. As well as a few new epic screen shots.
This has been short and pointless announcements, I'm Apollo, signing off!

Wondering if I should do that too when my thread reaches three pages...
Well he can answer to Amlup, he said he thought my starting area looked fine.
Also thanks for the support!
Yeah, that's the spawn area.
