OP was pretty specific on the monitor specifications here.  That's the only reason I didn't recommend any 16:9 screens.

Then you have a wonderful black border all the way around the screen.  Not a terrible solution, but it does look kind of weird.

I was going to do this to show what it would look like (picture with a camera though), but I can't figure out how to turn off scaling.

Catalyst Control Center > My Digital Flat Panels > Properties > Image Scaling

I was about to ask how you knew I had an AMD card, then I remembered it was in my sig....
