2. PLay with people in the same country as you. If you play with Europeans and you're American the lag will be bad.

The problem isn't the game itself but your internet.
The way online works for this game is by your internet connecting to your friends internet, so if you guys live far away from each other the game will be laggy, if one of you have "Wal-Mart connection" your game will be laggy.

I use built-in WiFi on my 360S without a problem. It can't be the fault of any connection other than yours or your friends'. And since you say every game you join is laggy, that makes you the common denominator. Either upgrade your service, play offline, or deal with the lag. It can't be the fault of the game/4J/Microsoft, since we don't have dedicated servers. (herp derp) The only servers are the hosts' consoles themselves.
tl;dr Your connection sucks. Get moar internetz.

I'll bet your single player works fine, right?
It's not 4J's job to fix your internet connection.

I have experienced both forms of lag and on different XBoxes. I play at home mostly offline, single player and I also play at a friend's home with their children in splitscreen and both online and offline there. Similar issues related to lag (e.g. blocks reappearing after mining) have occurred on both machines and under a variety of different circumstances.
Lag can occur for a variety of different reasons (e.g. internet connection, lack of appropriate bandwidth available, router/network capacity, older and wearing components within the individual XBox, dust inside the XBox, etc.... but it is usually not a mere coding bug that can just be fixed by the developer. There is little doubt at this point that Minecraft is taxing the limits of the XBox's processing power and RAM since 4J have specifically cited this as a reason why they cannot increase world size at this time. They are obviously working very hard to write the game so that it runs as smoothly as possible on virtually all the XBox 360s out there; but it is evident that this has not been an easy task. So far, they have been doing a great job; and I think we are indeed fortunate that most of the offline lag issues todate have been fairly minor. As new things get continually added to the game, I hope that these offline lag issues do not increase; although I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if they do a little bit.
This OP, however, is clearly citiing a consistent online issue, so in this case, it is very likely that the cause of the lag he describes has something to do with his internet connection and/or network setup.

Kind of like admitting they're aware of connection issues and bob net code.

It lags for me on my own world when playing by myself just as much as when i am playing multiplayer, and it also lags more in my own world then when im visiting other peoples worlds, unless they are long distances away.
Also, if i invite somebody to my world I have to wait until ive been playing for about 20mins or longer or my xbox will freeze completely once they join... (This is why I always play on invite only now, because if somebody joins when ive just started playing, i will freeze).
I don't believe people if they say it's my internet, my internet is the highest and best plan you can buy in australia and my download & upload speeds are awesome.

The codes is not perfect and seems to get worse with the more pistons/red stone/repeaters you use.
Also if you have a mob spawner and the mobs don't dies when falling can caurse lag if they are not killed.
Their are other things that cause in game lag but nothing to make it unplayable.

Uhm - no I'm fairly certain MCXBLA has never been out of the top 5 in playtime stats since the middle of the summer. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago it re-surged and knocked MOH:MWF out of the top spot for a day or two. The problem is most likely the OP's machine or internet. Regardless of how much whining anyone posts about how wonderfully some other game runs - MCXBLA is still far and away one of the most taxing (if not the most taxing game) on Xbox.
Also, I'm subscribed to 4J, I don't recall them ever saying anything about "upgrading your connection."
