Revival is really fun, and I hope you don't mind but I'm learning off of your source
Thanks a lot, I can see a lot of hard work went into it
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it, all the more inspiration to hurry the update! Also, I don't mind you looking at the source, just remember, my methods of programming are a tad unorthodox.
PS:
The Rewrite will not be 2d. It will be text based as well. see next post for full details
REVIVAL 4 PLANNED FEATURES: *Most or all features of the console based. *Images and sound. *Possibly more interactive actions. *Rearrangement of menus

Swiftness - Chance to dodge attacks.
First Aid - Healing is more effective.
*Multiplayer
coop - The first survivors from 2 accounts work together to survive. The 2 players take turns.
versus - The two players' parties challenge each other to a survival war.
risk - each player loads a save, winner takes all.
Just a note, the version and title screen in general in the current released version is a liar. It's running the beta code, so it's adding one to the actual release. You have R8, not 9. This is fixed in the next update.
EDIT: Another note, even with the new content, you'll notice the size didn't increase much. this is because I went through while removing caps sensitivity and deleted unnecessary code (Example, the old combat code was still in, never to be run.), and removed all traces of the heal command.
finished coding the level up. Currently you may only level up once, and may only choose one of the 3 additional perks. working on a fix for a glitch that allows you to change the perk if you save and load.
EDIT: Fixed. Also, Coop is finished. At the end of each day, the turn switches. You can also 'pass' to give up the rest of your day to your friend. Saving in this mode is possible, and usable in singleplayer.
He won't be making it 2D. He'll be sticking with text for this version, anyway. It's much harder to code things like that. I can see why he wants to keep text! And he has to get keystrokes and stuff for some of the features. Ugh.

Yeah. I've created a game called Planet Y, and I'm probably going to abandon it due to the amount of hate on the forum thread.
Anyway, new one is named Rise to fortune, and it's about you, the CEO, running a company by buying stocks, buying buildings, selling in the market place (I hope google doesn't kill me for using the name Marketplace, lol ) and communicating with other companies. It started as a test and now it's a no-where-near-a-working-demo-game-but-it's-going-to-be-a-game sort of game.
Hope it's compatible with my laptop XD Nothing likes my laptop...
Epic. Cubed. The company started off as a MC server network (Which was shut down for 3 reasons:))
1) My computer crashed.
2) Was taking up too many resources.
3) People kept complaining of lag, so to be a smartarse, I shut it down so they has terrible lag XD
Python has more features, but for a beginner I'd go with Lua (If you don't want to attempt to dive into java like I did (One of the worst and best choices evah. For 1, I now know most foundations for a language from java and 2. I got stuck on something about classes, so I went and started learning less-learning languages to return to java in a bit :L
Nerdcubed reference?
I know a little bit of Python but not much I really need to start working on a game i was making again.

It's a RELATIVELY easy language. Never used python, so I have no clue.
thanks for your insight! I think I'll stick to text, not sure
I'm working on an update for the text. possible major one.
It may be worth to finish a text, then take on the task of transferring what you have into a graphical setting.
"Programmers never repeat themselves. They loop."
text is for the most part done. I have minuscule progress on the 2d

It will be local, no interwebs will ever be used in this program except for installations.
It's fine

*3 player coop
*versus mode (Possibly will release without)
I'll be working on both. My main focus is the original ^^
Technically no. I'm rewriting it to use graphics and sound.
Tell me about it XD
nice. Since mine is based in the apocalypse, I will never have an economy.
