So, I have a survival superflat water world, anyone else?

I have one and it is really fun for me :) It took me a really long time tunnling to one and I died many times (mostly lack of food) I finally made it to the top of the water so I could find a village better (It was really hard, it used up TONS of dirt and sand) and I found a village :) Right now I am surviving in the village although its really hard.

Just want to know if you have one, Its a fun challenge.  Also, it is very cheap making a world and hoping for a village and if there isn't one delete it and make a new one.

I did check out the water world preset in creative.  Very interesting.  I realized very quickly that for a survival start your only option is to quickly dig down and block the water out for air.

I was messing around with the desert world preset as a survival world last weekend.  I'm currently traveling from village to village until I find some saplings. I have found 7 obsidian which will mean less lava to rob from a blacksmith when I'm ready to build a nether portal.  I already have nearly two stacks of gold bars and bones from robbing temples.  I make a makeshift cactus shelter at night and try to make sure I'm out of range of villages so they don't get massacred during the night.  Typing this I just realized that I should probably start making gold blocks.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

Wow, you are doing much better than me!  Although, I got really lucky and already found saplings in my 2nd village.  I don't have anything elts cool except for 3 diamonds :)  Yeah, that village chest was really nice for me.

I just play a regular world in survival, playing a challenge-type map can be fun for a little while, but at some point you can't get any more types of resources and progress is horrifically slow.
Yo mamma's so stupid, she tried to marry a handgun because she heard it was loaded.

Yeah, I guess I agree. But one really fun thing to do it this: Make a flatlands world and make it so that there is only a few layer of floating sand; break the sand all the way down to the viod and ALL the sand will fall... My minecraft chrashed before it finished though :P

Nope, but I did one with lava instead. (I had to build a platform in creative before I could use it in survival, though.)

I once did a world where everything looked similar to a general flatmap, except that 100 blocks up there were a layer of lava.

If your machine can cope with that much lava updating at the same time, I would suggest you to try and survive one of those.
It felt like those old lavamaps from classic browser minecraft Posted Image

Superflat worlds are pretty fun for specified survival, and I do play in a water world. It has a certain charm trying to survive in, and I like clearing areas of water for settlement. Though I wish Jeb/Dinnerbone would finally add single-biome worlds. I would love to explore a properly generated super ocean and survive from island to island Windwaker style, maybe cross a massive desert, or live in a world of massive mountains or jungles. Those are my dream worlds.

I'm sure there are some mods that will do exactly this. What they are called and how they would work, I have no idea.

Yes, but some people don't want to use mods. It would be pretty easy for Mojang to implement single biome worlds.

How would a village even spawn in the water world? Does it just spawn underwater? Is it floating above water? Is there just a little platform generated for it to be on?

Also, make an entire level out of TNT and light one block. Videotape it for me please.
Spoiler: Yes, I actually decided to play this game now.

The village will spawn underwater, just at the bottom of the ocean. However, above every structure there will be a hole with no water, reaching to the surface. So the ocean will have giantic holes in the shape of the structures and every roof or top will be directly exposed to the air. I hope Mohjang will fix that someday, because it looks very ugly and unnatural.
