This looks so epic! I wish I can build buildings like you, my buildings are horrible.
Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)

Yay, it's finally out!

I can tell this map is gonna go places... Posted Image

EDIT: Holy ! Just started playing this and it's amazing. Absolutely stunning. I'm gonna play it until its completion for sure. I start a lot of CTM maps and don't finish them, but this one really drew me in. Looking forward to playing it! It reminds me a bit of Domara's Safe Haven, with the whole island theme, and the plentiful loot.

EDIT2: Been playing it for a couple hours and it just keeps getting better! It's not too hard, and I have great enchanted diamond tools already, but it's a fantastic map. I only have the blue wool though, and I haven't found the victory monument... I can tell this map is gonna take me a long time. Kudos for making such an awesome map! I'll post another update later.

Not many CTM maps can compete with this one, and that's a FACT.

I like CTM maps and Dark Souls.

We will add in-game books after fixing all the grammar/spelling... No ETA for now.

Glad you like it! Actually we were worried if the beginning is good enough, because the most impressive builds are all in the southern part of the island, and the spawn area/ first dungeons are much more... humble.

Well, custom texture pack makes a big difference, it's not that epic with default textures ;p

I think I'm gonna be the very first one to ever finish this map. (Besides your beta testers, whoever they are).

I found the Victory Monument, yay! :D

I'm moving my base to the Victory Monument from the spawn town thingy. I'll post pictures of all the items I have after I move everything over. ;)

And no, don't worry, every single thing so far has been visually stunning, even the spawn. I love how exploring gets you rewarded, because of the hidden loot chests.

Well... this is beta so you are one of beta testers as well ;p Have you beat the first two dungeons or climbed the mountains and found a monument by accident?

And good luck with your base!

I've beat the first 3 dungeons and explored around the terrain a lot more and found a few moar dungeons. I still only have the blue wool though... I must have missed the first 2 wool by accident. D:

I love the map so far. I've been busy finding the VM and will be setting up my base soon. I plan to make a fairly large base, with several farms and build up my resources before taking on the maps.

I'm an incurable tunnel rat as well, so I plan on just tunneling past the aforementioned lava traps. Thanks for the tip, Isaac!

EDIT: Wow... a long time later now. I got a suit of diamond armor, level 30 enchanted diamond tools, etc. etc.... I had it all on me when I tried to conquer Dungeon 7. I died in your stupid lava traps and ragequit, and now I don't think I'm gonna be playing the map anymore. Posted Image I'm ragequitting the whole map. I really don't have enough items at home to recover, so there's no point in playing the map. I really don't like traps like that, ones that you really can't avoid and lose all your items in. They really turn me off playing a map.

I'm sorry to hear that, but that's why it's called "beta" - some of the traps might be overpowered or just cheap and we are going to change them. I don't really remember any lava traps in Dungeon 7 other than

I don't really think you need a lot of preparation, there are chests with loot and resources everywhere. And if you like to tunnel, you might have easy time in the first 8 - 10 dungeons... but later on it might get harder to break through the walls ;p

Yeah, that's the trap I'm talking about. I had a water bucket, but you have nowhere to place it really. I finally managed to place it on one of the nether bricks, after swimming in lava for a long time, but then the water pushed me further into the lava. I swam around in there, trying to jump up onto the obsidian covered by water, but I couldn't. I died and lost 30 levels, a Sharpness V, Fire Aspect II diamond sword, mostly full diamond armor, Eff. IV, Unbreaking III, Fortune III pick (i enchanted that one) and moar.

However, my previous ragequit was wrong. I decided to still play the map. I went on a rage rampage through dungeon 7 in leather armor with a stone sword and managed to beat it somehow. I was so angry there was a battle aura around me as I killed every million silverfish and their spawners.

I went to some other dungeons that had lots of diamonds, I enchanted some things, and I'm back in shape. So my previous ragequit was wrong, I am still playing the map now. ;)

I always prepare, at least a little, and I always set up a decent base. I also tend to transport all the loot I find to my base, so that dying isn't a big issue (although I only die rarely).

And as for tunneling/bridging being a problem...you must not know who you're dealing with. ;)

Seeing as I've heard lots of nice things of this map and am out of maps to play, you have gotten yourself another tester.

[Edit:]

Just finished my first session, and so far, I'm really enjoying this. It looks very nice (even in default), the pacing is excellent and the difficulty bearable, even if it punishes you hard if you screw up. Completely beaten the first dungeon so far, and have found the junction in the second; no wool though. Also have some basic farms going (thank you for the basic infrastructure by the way, I think that was a really a nice touch, along with those potion stations) and managed to get the enchanting table from the

Spoiler:

So far, one of the things I've seen is that you haven't actually secured the beacons properly. That may lead to people taking the beacons and the gold blocks under them, but that may or may not be a major concern in the end.
