Don't you hate having to take up about 4 slots with the average iron pickaxe, sword, axe and hoe?
Well here is a suggestion. There should be a tool that does all the jobs of all the tools I just listed.

Here is the recipe:
Posted Image

(Note: Because it uses 2 diamonds, 2 iron ingots and 1 iron block, the durability is alot higher than just adding all the 4 tools together)
Uses:
Able to attack with the same attack power of the iron sword
Able to hoe land
Able to chop down trees at the speed of an iron axe
Able to clean through stone and minerals at the speed of an iron pickaxe

Durability: 5,750 uses (block-breaks, hits, tills-of-land)

Needed Materials: Iron Axe, Pickaxe, Hoe and sword, 2 iron ingots, 2 diamonds, 1 iron block

That's all, a simple idea but a useful one

It wasn't really a real question, more like a "hook", or at least I thought it was meant to be.

I don't see how 2 diamonds makes 4 iron tools. Any of these tools can be used as another one except the pick and the hoe. Then again, it only takes 5 iron to make both of them.

Well I lost interest when I read your hook

And why not a shovel? Why a... hoe?

soooooooooooooooo you spend two diamonds to get a iron tier tool that can do everything and loses durability every time it does anything?  sounds like a waste of diamonds to make it, and since it loses durability across the board, 75% of the weapons functionality is being wasted every time it is used on anything.

You stole this from a mod, which had this compatible with all tiers.

Same thing as the Terraria Hamdrax. And yeah... I THINK there was a mod like this.... Wait. There's a mod for nearly everything!

No. Just no. If multi-tools were ever added(Other than axes doing some bonus damage like swords, which isn't that bad), they would have to have the same durability or less durability than 1 tool, to balance it out.

This is an interesting idea. While I, personally, would not likely use it, I respect its potential to be a very useful item for those who are willing to use iron tool speed consistently. And I don't understand why anyone is calling this OP, it uses essentially 21 iron and 2 diamonds; not a cheap price for even an established player. Why does the cost not justify saving a slot or two on your inventory bar, by that logic stack-able food was a bad idea.

I think this idea isn't good as it would simply be difficult to actually differentiate between 'attacking' a player and 'mining' the land, so for example, if you wanted to pick away at a block in front of you, and a mob walks nearby or in front of you, you then change to attacking them with the same tool and the mob would fight back. This would be difficult if you were in survival mode and didn't want mobs attacking you. (I personally play in creative mode but trying to think how it would be in survival mode.) Overall I don't think this would work.

Efficiency V pickaxes basically already do this. You can't till land or do a lot of damage with it but who cares. And how would enchanting work with this, and why would it take diamonds to make an iron tool?

No, for the same reasons I gave for your other two threads where you combined large amounts of gear and ores for "super gear".

It's silly and simply not needed. A player with even the most meager skill level knows to plan ahead and to only carry the gear they will need.

absolutely stupid suggestion, it seems like you have a situation like hearing a creeper and not having enough time to switch to your sword and you thought it would be a good but you really should of thought this through. This is the worst idea I have ever seen
Creeper Hugging, Its fun but it might be the last fun thing you do

1. OP
2. Go download a mod for this...
3. Don't carry every single tool with you when doing things, why do you need a pick for chopping trees?... Why bring an axe below the surface when trying to spelunk?

Stop the mass hating. I made a tool suggestion with is can be used as a crude pickaxe, a melee weapon and a ranged weapon, the hammer!
