I have a great idea for a mod! However the downside is it would take work, A LOT of work.

CODERS WANTED AND ARTISTS

We should make a mod where you start out as a normal human, however there will be vampires and werewolves that will appear as mobs. How exactly common they would be I am unsure yet. However, if you survive an attack by either mob you can turn into them!

Features:

Vampires:

*Can transform into a bat so you can fly and fit into tight spaces!

*Will burn in the sun and explode unless you find the rare daywalker emblem.

*Can hypnotize villagers (unknown what you can do while they are hyponotized)

*Have vampire sprint where you run 5 times faster then a normal human sprint.

*Has a variety of special vampire armor and equipment that you can use.

*Can turn villagers into skeletons which can be your undead minons!

Werewolves:

*At night will transform into a large werewolf!

*Are extra strong at close range combat, who needs swords?

*Can leap as high as a tree.

*Has enhanced night vision.

*Is able to equip armor

*Able to eat villagers to get stronger. (levels down below)

Pup, Average, Solider, and Alpha (The higher your level the more werewolves you can convert for your pack!)

Zombies:

*Can take a lot more damage then any other mob.

*Are immune to the effects of offensive potions, fire has a much slower effect on them, can go under water without drowning, lava kills them slower then any other mob.

*Can go in the light, but only for short periods of time.

*Other abilities unknown at this point.

NPC Mobs:

Werewolf

Note: Playable mobs and NPC Mobs look totally differnet.

Nightbreed Hunter [Image in progress]

*They will hunt you down.

*Able to sell monster heads for currency

Here are some of the items that could be included:

Daywalker emblem: Protects you from the day while your a vampire.

Silver Tip Arrow: A special arrow that does extra damage to both werewolves and vampires! (possibly all

undead mobs?)

Holy Water: Vampires won't cross holy water and lets on fire on contact.

I am thinking of making differnet armor for both vampires and werewolves that have there own perks. I

think it should have a lot of tems but we can start out very basic at first and add to it. I never made a mod before and don't know how but I thought this would be a cool idea! I can add pictures for my ideas if you really want and I can update this post. Posted Image

I really do believe they should be able to equip it, Werewolves seem like they don't have a lot of things going for them unlike the vampire. Here is a picture of where I think the equipment should roughly go. I am still undecided if werewolves should walk on all fours (Like normal wolves) or walk. I would really would like for them to stand up and while moving go on all fours, but I don't know how compelx that would get in coding. Also I think vampires should get capes and other dracula like clothes. :)

I think it would be more practical to make werewolves more humanoid than dog-like. However, maybe you could make them crouch a bit when running. Also, mobs would have to be made so you could "contract the disease". That means that a zombie transformation would be cool, too. You wouldn't feel hunger, and night mobs wouldn't attack you. However, you would have to live underground or get the Daywalker emblem to survive (at that point you wouldn't tan very well).

Zombies could be in the list for races you can be! They sound a lot simpler to make then say werewolves. I want to try and keep a balance between all the races. Also what would the zombies features be compared that to the werewolf and vampire?

New mob..
Nightbreed hunter:was villagers equiped with weapons to kill were-wolves,vampires zombies,etc..if you are 1 of this was the ofensive mobs..
Zombie..if you be infected your hungry bar descends foaster..you need eat villagers meat..if you survive X number of nights you  be a day walker..

Well, Zombies, due to their painless nature, would have a relatively high defense(even without armor), and would keep armor and equipped item due to their undead nature. They would also be able to infect people. Then infected people would take poison plus an "infected" buff, where they become a zombie for a short period of time (zombies can't hurt other zombies- make for a quick getaway).

The hunger bar is a good idea, but if it is eliminated, it simulates the zombie's lack of pain. Also, it wouldn't seem fair to the other races if Zombies can "earn" daywalker status.

Nightbreed Hunters sound cool, though. You could sell mob heads to them for emeralds, too.

If you dont mind i have been playing minecraft since indev and havnt chanced to make a mod for mincraft and since i have always used mods and never found really good ones that i could enjoy until now i wouldnt mind being able to help with this project. Because i think it would be something we could all enjoy after all the hard work that well end up putting into it. so what you say?

this sounds really cool and maybe if you are a monster you could make a portal dimension called the Halloween dimension or something like that and it is full of ghosts witchs vampires and werewolves but you can only go there if you are a monster there your abilities are slightly enhanced and if your a werewolf you can chose to change forms whenever you want also there could be a way you can become a ghost

since the vampire can turn into a bat I think when the werewolf well turns to the werewolf (on two legs) he/she should have the ability to go on all fours and that lets them run faster and have a little more strength. I also think the werewolf can have a different color other than white like a black or brown. maybe the werewolf could look a little like on Mo creatures mod (just a thought). I also think that there'd be a bunch of other werewolves that you will work with like in a wolf pack and when you get turned into one of the things I think you should not be it in the day but at night Always be that so you cant be a different mob after you get turned into one. in the day i think if your a werewolf you can turn into it whenever because you don't burn in sunlight and same with the zombie.

These two plugins haven't been made into a mod as far as I know. Perhaps some of these ideas can be utilized for this mod.

Personally, I prefer the 'ancient forest race' style of vampire than the 'Dracula' style.
