well i dont know abowt u but one of my favorit mods whus nerd boys batoll gear mod and sadly he pritymuch rage qwit the idea evan tho the ax and mace were op i loved the sheald and incase all u pepol havint notest thay are all redy tacking mods
i dont think that the ai is going to get much beter altho it shode be inproved
but i would love to see a sheold in game and maby some wepons frum balcons wepon mod be in. He did a grate gob at macking evrything evan.

So the 1.4 update came out very recently. In my own personal opinion, it was pretty good. I like it so much, that I have no idea what Mojang could think of next for the 1.5 update.
