Far Cry 3 is coming out this month on the 30th, and fans of the various Cry titles are eager to get their game on. Still, it has become something of an honored tradition for various game developers to get their love of Minecraft in their upcoming titles. While it isn't known if Far Cry 3 will have any crafty easter eggs inside, it seems the minds at Ubisoft couldn't wait to show their love of everyone's favorite sandbox indie game!
If you are looking for a combination adventure map/mod, this might be right up your alley. The FC3 map - which you can download by clicking the banner above, or the link below - contains some pretty serious overhauls to the game, including FC3 locations, characters, and a host of custom artwork, models, and more. Created by Michael Lambert, Axel Janssen, and Yohann Delcourt, this customized map/mod combo will give you hours of entertainment. Check it out, and tell us about your experiences!
Well its a pretty big map but I don't find it as good as they said it would be. (Come on 16x16 Texturepack for a FarCry map?). The map is made pretty good but all in all its not as good as I thought
Trust me, there were a lot bigger plans. They wanted the T-Pack to be 128 and 256, but when they found out you needed an external mod to have the texturepack bigger than 16x16 they canned that idea.
They wanted extra animals, but again when they found out you needed external mods to have that work they canned it. They wanted a simple installation that any joe/jane could do. Not something that required mods from all over for it to work properly.
Am I installing this incorrectly? I first just put the texturepack into the textures folder and tried that, which made the textures work, but nothing else that I thought would happen. For example, I think
Ender pearls are supposed to help you teleport
but that's not working for me. I tried also extracting the files from the texturepack zipfile to the minecraft.jar, but that doesn't work unless I delete the META-INF, and still nothing different happens.
I have to say the map isnt as good as I had expected quite a few dodgy world edit spheres most of the map is wool the treasure is over guarded 2 spawners defending a raw steak and the texture pack is of horribly low res it is the only TP ive ever said is of worse quality than the default played it in Sphax (how i discovered the wool) and realised the map did have potential but needs major work,
and the TP needs re doing it must be x16 or less need at least x32 or x64
Well, they made it out of wool because wool has lots of extra blocks (Good for adventure maps). The TP is made for the map, and it is 16x16 because the creators didn't want to use mods. (Like someone else said)
I might do an LP of this. Maybe. I'll have to see how it turns out, but this is like a 50/50 chance on me right now. I'm in the progress of two other LP's so, maybe.

I followed the tutorial for the shaders here :
and another one...

Hmmm..
This is using the 3D.Craft HD Texture pack that was modified for the GLSL shader Mod.
Watch the tutorial here on youtube :
Hm.. Seems legit, I'll give it a try.
(But one thing, is it a mod, a texture pack or something else?)
