Also, I think that the Director block could be called something along the lines of "Redstone X-port" or "Redstone Cross-wirer".
I hope this gets a download sometime!
i could think of adding the power lvl as a parameter for the rotation of the redstone repeater.
this way the side from which you give power doesn't matter anymore) (each power signal turns the block clock-wise/counter-clock-wise. The standard rotation would be north for example, power 1 will update this to west, power 2 to south, power 3 to east, power 4 to north... untill power 15 turns it to east again. (power 15 would equal power 3 in visuals/rotation)
How would this work with slime blocks? I could see rotating a block on top of a column of slime blocks, but blocks to the side... could they be moved and rotated?
Edit: If you could do that, then a slime block with a torch on the side could be substituted for a power director for a few uses.
I would also like to suggest if it hasn't been suggested already, that a rail can be placed on it. So that way we can have different directions to go on a mine cart track and can create rail mazes--in a different way if there is already a way. I assume just dropping the mine cart down one level lower and it land on a track below--sure--but that's just one way to do it. I would rather use a rotating block to do it. They push button and it changes their direction. It'd be nice to make it so the rail is not powered they can stop on the rotating block so that they change their direction and choose a way to go. Either way this is a very awesome idea. Especially with dispenser that shoot out arrows--you can have a spray of arrows shooting out in all 4 directions. This is really cool.
I would support this so hard for Vanilla, but I was wondering something.
I know this is a suggestion for implementation into Vanilla Minecraft, but I was wondering, with your permissions, if I could add this to my mod which is under heavy development and could use such a unique idea! For further discussion or more information please contact me here!
Furries are cool.
