I installed Optifine Ultra HD 7(which I had to install), and this mod. I got a pitch blue fog. WHY?!

Begin with a clean minecraft.jar!
It works only with the OptiFine_1.4.2_HD_U_A7 version.

The GLSL Shaders do not work for me. I have a ATI Radeon Graphics 6490M GPU with 1 GB dedicated. When I click, I hear blocks being destoyed but my screen is just blue, almost like no chunks are loaded, but I can hit animals and hear the walking and sprinting sounds.

I hope you can help me with this.

You are not using your dedicated vga card!

Add java.exe and javaw.exe to the list of programs that use the Radeon card.

Also, the game isn't crashing, the shaders are just like that.

Hi there!

First off, let me thank you for not only bringing such a hugely popular mod up to date, but also for simply making yourself available to fans and responding so frequently! Honestly, it's a rarity in the community to find a creator that doesn't act like they're above their fans. So really, kudos to you!

Gratuitous thanking aside, I got a few random screenshots last night while toying around with shader options(Just trying to normalize the saturation and darkness a bit), and figured I'd share:

I did what u said and it said "not found" on the launcher and it did not work in game. does it matter if i use a mac?

thanks for updating this. i'm using v8 ultra with emperor dooms fix with dof off, plus cell-shader on 0.001 thickness,and the water fix posted a page back. it looks amazing.

in the shaders.zip ensure the folder is shaders all lower case - It is case sensitive, that was my problem

Thanks man, it works, and for those who don't get Shaders to work here's how.


1. Install Optifine 1.4.2 MagicLauncher

2. Install GLSL Shaders OF [1.4.2] 1.0.2 MagicLauncher

3. Install the zipped "shaders.zip" MagicLauncher

Click Ok, and run Minecraft in MagicLauncher, and Enjoy Shaders.

I finally got it working.

Manual install (Don't use MCPatcher. Magic Launcher is fine).

1. Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR/7Zip (etc)
2. Download and drag everything in Optifine mod file into minecraft.jar (62 files in total added)
3. Download and drag everything in GLSL Shaders OF mod file into minecraft.jar (7 files in total added)
4. Download Sonic Ethers Unbelievable Shaders Mod
5. Drag the folder containing the shaders files (e.g. "ultra v08") into minecraft.jar, then rename the folder to "shaders" (1 folder consisting of 18 files in total added)
6. Done.

P.S. It's very laggy though.

P.P.S Is this normal? The glowstone isn't bright at all. I'm using the normal texture pack.

I think you are out of luck.

Your VGA card is not compatible:

Errors...
in the shaders.zip ensure the folder is shaders all lower case - It is case sensitive, that was my problem
