What about a furnace that if you put fuel in it, It will emit a redstone signal till the fuel is burned up. It will have a time meter on the texture and in the gui. The gui will have 5 slots for fuel.
It would be a great idea for map makers, But for survival mode, It would be a good idea for secret doors.
I know we have the bud switch, but with the redstone furnace you just need 1 block instead of 2 (The first block is fuel, The second is the block you need to smelt or cook).
It should be crafted like so:

Or regular furnaces can give off a redstone signal.

I dont think that is a good idea to make regular furnaces emit a redstone signal, because it would break a lot of contraptions, like the furnace bud switch.

Hmm... you could just use a T-bud, you can make them fairly compact so it shouldn't be too hard.

Why do you want additional slots for fuel? In my experience my fuel usually lasts much longer than the to-be-cooked stack.

Wel, I want that because there is enough space, because there is no cook or smelt slot and well there are atleast not 100 fuel slots in my suggestion.

Near incomprehensibleness aside, what I think you're trying to say is that your redstone furnace isn't for cooking things, it's just a timer?

1. A bud is not that hard to make

2. What's with the crafting recipe? A furnace with more cobblestone added to it?
