1.) Fossils and Archeology: in' dinosaurs. 'Nuff said.
2.) Weather and Tornadoes: Who remembers the movie Twister?
3.) Flan's Mod: This mods allows you to add new items to the game through content packs (and there are a lot of packs). This includes things such as new weapons and vehicles from Modern Warfare and Mass Effect.
4.) Smart Moving: Expanded player movement options. Should help those who like to explore but can't use the Ender Pearls anymore.
5.) Rei's Minimap: Pretty much what it says, a minimap system for navigating Minecraft. The great thing about this is you can also set waypoints to enable finding your way back to things later (not everyone can afford to have ten /homes).
6.) Balkan's WeaponMod: A weapon expansion mod that adds new craftable weapons such as boomerangs, crossbows, halberds, battle axes ect. I especially like the portable cannons.
7.) Buildcraft/Industrial-Craft: Expansions onto the basic Redstone mechanics, you builders should love these. Buildcraft focuses on machinery (engines and piping) while Industrial-Craft is more about electricity and high-end science (nuclear generators dudes!).
8.) Clay Soldiers: Make little clay armies who will fight each other to the death! Toss them items to increase their fighting power.
9.) Mo' Creatures: More creatures XD.
10.) Thaumcraft: A magic system for Minecraft, can be applied to already existing worlds.

I've never particularly cared for mo'creatures. I find the sound they make really dumb and the designs dumb as well.

Well, how about Dynmap? At the very least I would look forward to having a tool that can aid in wilderness navigation.

Lately I've been getting the "Failed to login: Bad login" error. It's probably the auth servers.

It was fun at first Twig, but you somehow managed to turn a lot of people on the server against you and in turn create a negative aura around yourself. Spamming the /slap command multiple times was also an issue. I won't go any further in detail than I need to, but you do need to be considerate about the players around you. And while the mod team might seem like a crazy bunch of guys who probably are coming to Hell along with me, we do make sure everything is in order and keep well communicated even while not in game. You did have quite a few close calls and tested our patience a lot, so you had to see this coming.
With that out of the way, I think I might make some redstone contraptions to see if the server has the ability to not crash while they're active.

In response to your redstone comment, Hyero, I've been having some issues with redstone. It seems like half the time it works, and then it doesn't. Even something as simple as a redstone lamp with a torch under it sometimes doesn't work. Not sure if that's part of 1.4.5 or a random bug in the server. After I mess with it for like 10 seconds, it seems to work perfectly fine, though.
