I'm VERY surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that nobody has recreated Half-Life in Minecraft yet. With custom spawners, new mobs and command blocks, possibilities are now much better than in previous versions. So, I tried to recreate HL myself, but due to lack of time, I give you what I managed to built yet. This is a playable map from the end of the tram ride up to first houndeye encounter (no mobs though, because I want them to come with advancedly-coded spawners).
- only one beacon light beam is clearly visible, the other ones are barely visible, I hope this is a bug that will be fixed
- glass around scientists (villagers) are placeholder for some invisible blocks (so they don't walk around). As I originally planned not to use a texture pack, so the map is as much vanilla as possible, I wanted to use MCEdited invisible ladders, but they are glitchy.
- infinite redstone loops tend to stop going when reloading the map, dunno why (very rarely though).
Cheats are enabled so you can switch to Creative. I would be very glad if someone or team of some poeple took on this map and creature it further, or try to recreate their own HL map from scratch.
