Hope it turns out much lighter. I really want to use the skin full time, as opposed to the HD Vanilla one I have now, because the Zelda universe is so more magical :tongue.gif:
Changes made
* Changed red dust itrails into red rupees
* Changed red dust inventory icon into a red rupee
* Fixed a colouring error that made it so blocks started to light up slightly when being mined
* Changed Iron, Gold, and Diamond blocks (Thanks Alom)
* Changed pork into a heart
* Changed cooked pork into a heart piece
Aight, some major changes up in here. I found a version of my pack with some (great) modifications by a namefriend on another forum by the name of Elf, and I've adopted some of his changes as the official. Some, because they are better ideas, and others because he had the same ideas I had for stuff (such as the pumpkin growing).
The only reason why I didn't adopt some changes, such as the changes to the diamond sword and the pick axes, is because I wanted to keep some of the alttp originality to them. (The diamond sword is a changed version of the Alttp Master sword, and the golden sword is based upon the golden sword concept art, the wooden sword is based on the original wooden sword sprite, etc.)
It's good except, the way the terrain is now the smooth stone looks very crappy and the cobbelstone looks so nice. It's kind of backwards.. I didn't build anything with cobbelstone. But at same time its not so simple to change the textures, the new cobbelstone texture is too much like bricks to be replaced with smooth stone, would make the regular terrain unnatural.

The "smooth stone" as in the unmined stone?
It's an Alttp tileset, so it's using alttp style dark world cliffs, except darker and grayer, so it fits in with minecraft.
Once someone mines stone they shape it, hence why the cobblestone is 'nice.'

It's not easy coming up with replacements.

What? Also, you can't even get bricks in /game, so I don't see how them looking similar is relevent.
First, i'm the one who posted the changed one originally. Happy you liked some of them, and I can understand not liking the tools.
Second, I think mikunyan is saying that the bricks look more smooth and regular than the smooth stone does and almost nothing like cobblestones, and i'll see if I can change that any to make it agreeable to everyone. I tried a few different tiles before I settled on those simply because they didn't mesh well with the rest of the tile types. Was looking for something that stood out from the stone the set originally had.. since that's changed, something else might work better now. Definitely gonna keep it brick in my personal copy tho.
For the record, I stretched out a bit from just LttP to all the games that used that art style for their tiles or sprites (LttP, Four Swords Adventures, and the GB/GBC games) so that there's more to choose from, but they all still fit the same style, and most people would label as LttP.

They do look really good. I like the tools, too, it's just that the magic hammer and the megaton hammers exist in the zelda games, and, being a zelda pack and all...
I still have the rocky cobblestone if someone people still want it. I did slightly change your bricks on mine to match the colours of the stone, though. I do like the bricks because they remind me of dungeon walls.
I noticed that. I myself made a megaton hammer, which obviously isn't alttp. I just wanted to keep the visual style from alttp, I guess you could say.

I knew it...
Most of the textures look great, but some of them look rather out of place. The cobblestone, for example, looks as if it were ripped right from one of the GBC games. Maybe it's because the highlights are too strong? I'm not quite sure.
The texturepack looks brilliant, regardless. I hope to see the style made a little more consistent, and the pack finished.
The cobblestone was actually from Four Swords Adventures, which directly uses LttP style... in fact, plants notwithstanding, only two textures on the terrain sheet are from the GB games, and that's the one I used for tilled fields.
And I hadn't even considered there would be concept art for the various LttP swords. I was just making what I could come up with.
Yep - I was looking for inspiration on the zelda wiki, and I thought the sprites for the master sword and golden sword were too similar, and they had the image for the concept art right there.
I modified the original handle and used the blade for the concept art.

I've said it before but the new updates warrant it being said again; this overhaul is looking fantastic!
Thanks!

Now that a majority of the actual content is done, now I, or rather we, can focus on making it consistent in style and palette. :smile.gif:

I didn't even notice
My original cobblestone was a slightly modified cobblestone from alttp which can be seen in the background of the file select screen
I might go back and modify it a bit, and bring it back.
EDIT// Whoops, double post.
In order to not make this useless I'll take the time to say I'm working on a fix for the container.png, because the text that appears when you open it isn't part of the actual skin, but the code, so I have to work around it...
I'll try to find something better for gravel, since i'm betting that's another one he had a problem with. I do say blame the LttP devs for it though, not me. :tongue.gif:
OH! Geez.. I can't believe this.. I just now FINALLY got what you were aiming at for the doors (or at least the metal one). I guess that's how peoples viewpoints can differ so much on things.. I didn't even notice it was a copy of the LttP dungeon doors.
Here. Had I noticed before I would have had something like this rather than that iron thing I put in. The key door is just copying typical hylian construction trends.
This is much better, actually.

They were in the link to the past too.
Replace zombie with it and it'll be a bit strange, because the statues are suppose to be still until you come near...
Ha, I come here to post that idea, then look what happens...
Well it only makes sense, though. :V

That being said, take a look at his, too.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say.
Place all the files in your minecraft.jar into the /gui/ folder.

For a bit more of a cobblestoney look.
And:
For those who prefer the brick look, but a bit rougher so it doesn't outshine the smooth stone.
