FAQ
The basic premise of my maps is that the player's main objective is to interact with villagers (such as killing or protecting them), in order to progress or win in the map. The reason that I choose to use villagers for this purpose, instead of certain blocks, is to further immerse the player into the map. They offer a different and unique dynamic to that type of gameplay.
I have been playing Minecraft since April 2011, or Minecraft Beta 1.5. When I started to play the game, I was immediately hooked, and drawn towards the more technical aspects of the game, like redstone and game mechanics. In order for me to have fun playing the game, I had to understand how everything worked. So, I did extensive research on the wiki and on YouTube, and learned the game mechanics, as well as some basic redstone. Since then, my skills and knowledge have been further evolving as the game is further developed. Since the game's official release, several changes have begun to be made to the game that allow mapmakers to have even more customization and freedom if they know how to access it. I cannot thank the Mojang team enough for their amazing job with this game.
In order to make my maps, I use: creative mode, in-game cheats, and MCEdit. I am personally against Minecraft mods and texture packs, which is why I don't use them or make my maps dependent on them. I always appreciate feedback, so let me know what you think of my creations!
There is a rule board in each of my maps that contain the game rule for that specific map. This is a list of rules that either need to be followed outside of my maps, or applies to all of my maps.
My maps do not require additional any mods, plugins, or other extensions.
Usage of these that alter gameplay are technically considered cheating.
My maps are only intended to be played once at a time. To play again, the map needs to be reloaded.
Make sure that command blocks are enabled, if you are playing on a server. My maps are highly dependent on them, and without them, the map will not function properly.
Be cautious and think twice before stepping on any stone pressure plates throughout my maps. They typically involve teleportation, spawn point setting, game rule/game mode altering, or other irreversible changes.
These rules, along with all other rules specific to each map will be clearly listen.
Do not rip off, or copy my maps. If you decide to make a map similar to mine, please make it unique and distinguishable.
Videos and pictures of my maps are more than allowed, as long as credits are somehow given to me.
All of my maps fall under three separate categories:
A linear maps in which the goal is to reach and kill the 5 different types of villager.
(Similar to Vechs and AMLP)
I. Eerie Expanses: Version 1.0 (for Minecraft 1.4 and beyond) - Coming soon!
Singleplayer PvM
Maps that typically require longer gameplay, and have a more dynamic set of goals.
I. Desert of Emeralds: Version 1.0 (for Minecraft 1.4.2 and beyond)
Multiplayer PvP
The basic premise is that there are two teams: attackers and defenders. The defender's goal is to protect a priest villager held within the basement of a desert temple. They have to defend their territory against the attackers, who are trying to breach the pyramid in order to assassinate the priest. The game lasts 20 minutes. If the defenders keep the priest alive within this time, they win. If the attackers kill the priest within this time, they win.
Each team has a choice between 3 different roles that they choose from before the games begin. These roles decide what kind of weapons, tools, and items the player gets from the start; each has its benefits and disadvantages. Once the game begins, both teams start on opposite sides of the map in their own pre-built bases. Within their base, they have access to various supplies to help them through gameplay.
II. Twilight Village: Version 1.0 (for Minecraft 1.4 and beyond) - On hiatus...
Multiplayer PvP
Maps that typically require very short gameplay, and have a simple and single goal.
I. Time Tube: Version 1.1 (for Minecraft 1.4.4 and beyond) - New!
Singleplayer PvV
A carnival style game where a player descends down a giant tube and tries to shoot villagers on their way. This Microgame is very fast, and is easy to learn. It can be played 576 times without having to reload the map!
Version 1.1: Edited and added color to the countdown command blocks.
