The Latest:
I'm hesitantly coming out of hiatus to work on my pack again, managed to do a little bit of work the past couple days on it. You can check the changelog for specifics, but it's mostly a lot of tweaks, and maybe one or two texture changes. Also made it compatible with the default new coco bean texture for the coco bean plant in the new snapshot. Please, leave me your comments and suggestions on how I can continue with my texture pack, I appreciate all posts, and will at least take everything into consideration.
Before Installing The Pack!: http://www.minecraft...-hd-fix-234-02/
Please download and PATCH MINECRAFT with this HD Patcher! It is extremely vital in being able to view this texture pack properly. It may still run without it, but it won't look right. Follow the instructions properly and CAREFULLY, or something may go wrong.
Terrain.png
-New stone texture for stone and ore backgrounds.
-New diamond block texture.
-Minor adjustments to endstone portal frames (very minor).
-Tweaked iron ore to stand out more.
-Fixed minor visual error with dragon egg.
-Added default coco bean plant textures for placeholders.
-Had to remove old animated diamond ore, since new diamond ore has a new stone background and wouldn't match. Will eventually work on animations again.
Items.png
-Completely removed old backup versions of diamond sword and fish from grid.
-Updated storage chest minecrart icon.
-Since armor placement indicator icons were placed back in inventory GUI some time ago, customized that.
GUIs:

Actually the second time he's reviewed my pack, the first time was quite a while ago. Looks like he reviewed a somewhat outdated version, but I still very much appreciated the comments and overview of my pack!

One of the first video reviews I got after I started the renewed overhaul of my pack, and muchly appreciated! Dyz-69 still offers to do texture pack reviews on these forums as far as I know, he has a thread for them in the texture discussion forum (linked here: http://www.minecraft...-video-reviews/)
UNDER CONSTRUCTION, more to be added.
Can you help spread word about my texture pack and get me some more feed back? Use the below banner code in your signature, or just plain word of mouth to get things going. I appreciate it! ^^

Thanks to Misa for initially letting me use her kz.png file as a placeholder. (her texture pack is here: http://www.minecraft...ated-22mar2012/ )
Vattic for letting me use his stuff as placeholders currently.
The rest: Drawn by me, Gaming Lord.
IMPORTANT LICENSE INFORMATION:
Content from Vattic's Faithful 32x Texture pack (http://www.minecraft...pport-more-123/) has been used, mostly as placeholder. No longer using his font now that I've finally made my own, but thanks for letting me use it in the first place!
Everyone is allowed to do the following with my textures, with no prior permission. Credit given with my name (Gaming Lord) is required, and a link to this thread or one on Planet Minecraft would be appreciated:
-Reuse content from this pack in other packs.
-Re-distribute this content.
-Write reviews with Screenshots.
-Make videos using this content.
-Must be for non-profit purposes!
As far as Vattic's textures, check his thread to be sure his stance on the free use of his textures hasn't changed, though last I saw it was allowed. Be sure to contact him to let him know at least, and to give credit where it's due.
I really like this, I've been looking for a good 64x pack to use. The pixellated-style tiles look really nice!
The only thing I would suggest is that the smoothstone seems a bit too smooth, and doesn't really give a 'rocky' feel.
Other than that, love this pack and am anticipating the release. :biggrin.gif:
Thanks ^^ I'm currently trying to find a nice balance between not too smooth, and not too cracked/bumpy/etc with the smooth stone. It's a slight pain, couple friends earlier said that the old smoothstone looked too crumbly. Maybe I'll mix the two with some transparency and tweaking.
It seems you added more detail in the middle of the tile than around the edges. This makes the tiling fairly obvious.
Yeah. I'm thinking about just redoing the whole darned thing and seeing if starting from a clean slate will help. I don't want to end up spending many hours just trying to rehash and redo one texture when sometimes starting fresh fixes it.
Spanaren, I'm not offering the pack for download just yet.. .at least until I get more of it done. Maybe in a few days when I have a good chunk of the terrain finished.
Well, I decided to go ahead and just let people download what I have so far after finishing a few more things, even though I'm not done with the pack yet. I figure it'd give me more incentive to try to finish it up if I knew it was floating around out there half done.
Little bit of a bump with an small update:
I just finished the storage chests.
They're not in the actual download yet, I wanna get a little bit more done with that before I update the download link,
but I'm making progress. These took a little while to make. ^^
See first post! I updated the download link, and I finally finished the terrain.png! Now I just need to finish tackling the items.png and maybe a few other things, and I'll be finished...
...at least until they updated the game again with new stuff that needs more textures >>;
Been artistically inspired this morning.... Have been working on the bucket items and the dye items all morning, along with tweaking and adding some details to the sponge and furnace/dispenser textures. May have yet another update in a few days, but I want to try to get as much done with the items.png and not release it too soon after having just doing an update already. Here's a screen shot to show what I've been working on.
By the way, I haven't mentioned this, but I would appreciate comments and such! Hope you guys are enjoying my texture pack so far. I plan to at least finish the items.png and then do the GUI. Maybe later on I'll try my hand at the Mobs, Sun and Moon, and stuff.
Updated the pack again. Got a good chunk of items.png done, and including an alt version with Misa's higher res default paintings. (Thanks Misa)
Basically all I have left to do for my pack is the rest of items, and a GUI. May or may not attempt mobs, not sure about that. At the least I'll give it a shot later if I still have energy :tongue.gif:
Progress update people. No upload yet, wanna get a few more things before I do so:
-Worked on a few more items for the items.png. This includes minecarts, the boat, and such. Plan to get the majority of it finished before next update, at least everything except armor/most armor
-Working on my own kz.png file now (The paintings file). Posting a preview here:
-Pretty much have the GUI how I want it. May or may not tweak it further. It's not a major deviation from the default, but it's different with illustrations.
(I do still plan on having an alternate download with Misa's paintings for those who want a more default look to their paintings. Mine may have some similarities to certain pictures in the file, but others will probably deviate greatly.)
Edit: Oh wow! Including a previous version of the pack, I've gotten well over 300 downloads! Thanks everyone!
I love this pack and that art looks great. The only thing I would suggest is maybe somehow get rid of some of the black that is between the cobblestone? Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work!

Redid the smooth stone. This any better guys? Did a quick tile job as a test.

The cel-shaded, pixellated style was my favorite, but that newer chest looks really great!
Still keeping my eye on this pack.
