(This logo was made using the more... intricate parts of mcrecipe.  Take a look at the image url if you are curious.)

So, MCRecipe is a tool I've been building with my friend Drew. It lets you show in an image how a recipe is put together, or how a theoretical recipe might be put together.  There's a bunch of blah blah blah stuff you can do to customize it, but I'll repost that stuff later.  For now, here's the page for using mcrecipe:
http://mcrecipe.jake....net/design.php
(It has a weird bug where the page layout is weird the first time you load it - let it load fully then refresh and it should fix itself.)

Yes, I realize that the tiles are not entirely up to date.  I'll go back and add the snow+ice textures later. :stone:

Hi, and welcome to MCF.

This is a really cool idea, and I'm interested in PHP image generation (although I can't do it myself).
Allow me to point you to the crafting page of the wiki: http://www.minecraft...t/wiki/Crafting for all your image needs.

Good luck, and I hope this helps!

I had already seen that page, and I was really hoping there was some other source from which I could get the images.  Not only would I have to do a bunch of image editing to crop out single versions of those images, I would (in some cases) have to try to edit out the numbers or try to get them from screenshots of the game.  That's a lot of work and a lot of time - which I would prefer to spend writing the actual php rather than mindless image editing.  Which is why I was kind hoping there was either a compressed folder of images or a spritesheet I could use.

Afraid not. You can take images from:

Whoa!  Ok, so, not what I had in mind, but this is FAR SUPERIOR to the prospect tons of image editing.  Thanks!  Guess I'll get started on that php then. :D

Edit: Want to... doublepost... so badly... to get this back to the top of the thread list.  But I will not!  I will simply edit this post to say that I have edited the first post in the thread showing off my new php script, of which I am very proud. X3

In my opinion doubleposting is accepted if you're doing something good and useful to the community.

As a side note, I've added a gear sprite that I found on the wiki.  If anyone else has 16x16 images they'd like me to add, just let me know! :)

I love this! It really is a great tool to display recipes!

A quick test resulted in an alteration of the Diamond Pickaxe recipe. :D

Quick guide

Posted Image
The code for this image is: 2&h=3&r=2,8,3,3,16,1&s=2
It's 2 times 3 big, which amounts to 6 boxes. The numbers [2,8,3,3,16,1] fills it up, from the left to the right and it starts over on the next row every 2 numbers, with [grass, water, dirt, dirt, coal, stone]. It will be displayed in a 2:1 scale.

You're missing a "w=" at the beginning of the code. :P But I'm glad you like it.  I'm thinking about making a second php file just for showing the crafting result, you'd stick the two images side by side so that they would appear to be one image.

This is really sick. I recommend making a tutorial or "base" so people can just plug in the numbers.

Yay! It looks like a friend of mine (who I believe to be better at UI than myself) is probably going to help me build a page for building one of these recipes easily.  :Turquoise:

So, I still need to improve the design of the page, but the graphical recipe design tool that my good friend Drew helped me build (Ok, so, he did most of the work) is mostly done!

http://sfrss.byethos...cipe/design.php

Feel free to try it out! Just drag the blocks into the "drop area".

In MC, blocks are 3D while in inventory, you made just one face of them. But it's still awesome :D
