Using the latest version of BoP for 1.5.2, I get Twilight Forest biomes in the overworld when using BoP's terrain generation option when starting a new world. I'm thinking this isn't intended?
The new BoP adds a folder which stores the new configs. Are the biome IDs in there different from TF's?

OK can someone answer me this, I decided to change my FTB Server to the Unleashed Pack. It has Biomes O Plenty installed but has Version 0.5.9.2 instead of 0.5.9.3. But the funny thing is it has all the items in the pack are from the 0.5.9.3 update but the pack runs on 0.5.9.2 so all of the items that were added in 0.5.9.3 are all "Unamed" can anyone tell me what this pack is doing that. I checked the changelog for 0.5.9.3 and yep all that were in that release are loaded in the Biomes O plenty in the 1.5.2 Unleashed pack with no names but that do have ID's. Of course when I try to update the Forge is not up to date to run that version, and ideas why this may be. This pack was fine a week ago and had all the names, it's seems somehow it got reverted back to the 0.5.9.2 version which has none of the new items that were brought in the 0.5.9.3 update.
yes there is a way... wich is to
1. get NEI (not enough items) for the crafting (or read the first post)
and
2. try the stuff out yourself! go for it!
3.this mod is not ment to add just items, ect. it adds more biomes for people to explore and makes the boring minecraft world much, much more exciting!
All of the crafting recipes are in the opening post. There's a big bolded section titled "Crafting/Smelting Recipes." It's kind of hard to miss.
I don't think you guy's understood what I said. I can't figure out what some of the things do. I am not stupid, I can see how to make everything. There is no place that says what the items do, which I think is probably the most important thing to know about an item. I'm not going to do trial and error clicking every item on every type of block under every situation to figure out what they do. I don't think this is too much to ask for at all.
A suggestion of mine is that the swamp biome be redone. Instead of big water drops in between grass blocks, how about a bunch of half slabs with water covering some lower areas, and some slabs being higher than water lever. With cat tails, high grass, and some deep water spots like it is now.
EDIT: All is well! I have got it! ;-) Also, I am setting up a server for Biomes O' Plenty - a public server with a full gig dedicated. The IP is public, 70.188.17.143 so enjoy! (Tested!)

I know how to use it. I went and read the source code to see how it goes together. Here's the build:
Spoiler:
Put down a Sacrificial Focus.
Put an Altar Frame on each of the four sides.
Put a Medium Bone Segment on top of each Altar Frame.
Put a Small Bone Segment on top of each Medium Bone Segment.
Put one of each of the six gems into each Altar Frame (equip the gem, then right-click the frame).
Use a Ghastly Soul Manipulator on the Sacrificial Focus.
Lure a Villager to fall into the altar and touch the Sacrificial Focus. (Or, if you have a Villager Soul Manipulator, use it instead of luring a villager.)
At this point, you can either use another Ghastly Soul Manipulator on it to summon the Ender Dragon (the altar will detonate in your face with no delay, so you'd better have resistance up) or you can use an empty Soul Manipulator to capture the villager soul out of it to get a Villager Soul Manipulator.
You can then use a Villager Soul Manipulator to turn an Enderman into a villager or to power another altar. (I recommend getting the Villager Soul Manipulator and disassembling the altar and taking it to The End and reassembling it to summon the Ender Dragon there, because summoning the Ender Dragon in the overworld has side effects like the HP bar not going away after the fight.)
Is my IP working? I'm getting a lot of errors with people logging in saying that they have absent mods. It could just be random people wanting to grief, but it also could be an issue on my end. Someone who has this mod, please try logging in to see if it works (it works for me, though not necessarily meaning it works for everyone else)
Ok, thanks, but what about damage values of the weapons, what's good to use over the other things, what scythes do, what the enderporter does, and what spring water actually does (it seems to have no real effect) and all of the other stuff. I feel like a mod, especially one as professional as this one should have this information available. I went to the official website and got no information there either. People shouldn't have to go into the source code to figure out what things do. It's not too much to ask for right? I'm not trying to be an , I'm just really confused.
Spring Water is (supposed to) give you regen (and in the past it also refilled your hunger bar), but it's currently bugged and doesn't work. I've submitted a PR to fix that particular issue, so hopefully in the future it'll work again.
Scythes are for removing tall grass and leaves iirc.
You do realize his suggestion had nothing to do with water being put on slabs, right?
How else do you interpret "how about a bunch of half slabs with water covering some lower areas, and some slabs being higher than water lever."? If there's something better that I'm missing, I'm curious of what the vision here is.
This is so far my all-time favorite mod ever created, and the biggest one I've ever seen too.
Anyway, I played around for a bit. A few days ago, my friend told me about this mod (that's how I found it), he told me of some biomes (I've already been to most of them) but something I found interesting is that he told me about this weird biome which is made entirely out of black blocks which can't be found anywhere else and they form an island full of big endermen. He told me it doesn't say it anywhere and there are no pictures.. forgive me if this is a stupid question but I just want to know if he was serious.
Either that's a different mod, or he's pulling your leg; BOP doesn't add giant endermen and the black blocks it provides are used in other biomes.
In the latest 1.5.2 version are textures for the spring water particles messed up? im getting the "missing texture" image which looks rather silly. I am using the FTB Unleashed modpack if that makes any difference was perfectly fine in the 1.1.1 version, just updated to 1.1.2 and now its all borked.
Hmm spring water buckets are gone as well, and cant place any in creative anymore....what gives?
ok somethings wrong all my BOP items and blocks are unamed.....ok this might be an FTB update issue.

I interpret it the way it's written. A bunch of half slabs for the ground, water covering some lower areas of the ground (in place of slabs, not on top of), and some slabs being above the water level.
Just a multi layered swamp of tall grass, rushes, and water in the lower layers. Layered with slabs and the occasional block high. Frog sounds added would be cool.
Just an idea. I want to know if TD likes it or not. XD
Hi, I am really interested in this awesome mod, but unfortunately, I cannot seem to get forge for 1.6.2, however, I have it for 1.5.2. This normally would be no problem, however, I cannot seem to open the Old Downloads tab, I cannot download it. The little button says "Hide" on it, but nothing appears. I'd love to get this mod, please reply. Thanks in advance!
Yes, the crafting recipes are indeed available in the first post, but I was asking what the items do. Interested in the following (currently undocumented) item uses and behavior:
Scythes (how is it best used?)
Altar Frame (what does it do?)
Celestial Lens (what does it do?)
Ghastly Soul (what does it do?)
Soul Manipulator (what does it do?)
Ghastly Soul Manipulator (what does it do?)
Sacrificial Focus (what does it do?)
Enderporter (what does it do?)
Finally, what do the flower bands do? My guess is just decoration, but that is what documentation is for How much hunger and saturation do the new salads restore? How much damage/durability/etc do the Amethyst and mud items have? Are there any other uses for the new gems besides making the staff?
I have tried "just using" some of the items in creative mode, with no obvious effect.
This mod is kick ass, but I would just like to see better documentation. I don't want to sound like jerk, just making constructive criticism.

*cough*
You do realize water doesn't work on slabs, right? They just get an air pocket.

Is there a way to disable the gravel beach biome? It's not listed in the config.
In server.properties, change "level-type" to be "BIOMESOP" (or if you're using it in conjunction with Better World Generation 4, "level-type=BWG4").
