Yes, i just got that exact same error. I did a bit of testing, and i found out that it goes like this: you can run the game fine until you somehow get the achivement Flower Child. If you then quit and restart, your game will crash.
A fix for this is to delete the contents of your /.minecraft/stats/ folder, which will reset all achivements and thus allow you to play. Until you pick up another flower.
I was receiving the same message this morning lol so I rampaged through all my mods and removed and added and removed and added... then I googled and found your post... thanks for the help, I'm back up and running...
Okay, here is a list of things that i have been working on for the next release and that Ted has also pulled into his Git:
Tools actually have the properties of the tools they are meant to be (they used to all think they are swords)
Ore dictionary support for wood
Added a temporary fix for the Ach Flower issue in the form of a config option for achievements (default is currently off) (May require the stats folder being deleted first to take effect)
Fancier message upon creation of The Promised Lands
No more duplicate chat messages on creating the Promised Lands
You can no longer create an infinite endstone supply from spamming Promised Lands portals
And if/when Ted pulls my latest commits:
Holy Tall grass no longer drops itself without using shears
Fixed things wrongly having wooden footstep sounds
Saplings now use the new bonemeal system added by Minecraft 1.5
Bonemeal now creates Holy Tall Grass when used on Holy Grass
Fixed slabs not stacking
Fixed leaf decay
Fixed tool effectiveness on various blocks
Gave smoldering grass and ash their expected behaviours; burn on contact (smoldering grass) and slowness (ash)
Hopefully these fix the main problems people are having, and will save everyone from having to deal with the bombardment of billions of duplicate bug reports
what would be the best way to reinstall with the updates? to just extract over the original files for biomes and replace or should we try to clean it up and reinstall it? ty for the great mod, to be honest I picked this over the others because it just blows them away...
Hello, can someone help me? I want to craft mossy stone, but I don't know how to get any moss or what can I use to collect it.
It's the hanging-kind of moss, not the carpet-kind. You can find it hanging from trees and cave walls in damp biomes -- looks kinda like vines, but you can't climb it. It drops itself when you break it, so it's easy enough to collect (I haven't been trying to collect it, but I've got a good bit of it just by accident, or as a side-effect of harvesting fallen logs in the swamp, which are covered in it).
Love this mod, use it alongside XtrabiomesXL in 1.5.1.
One thing I did come across which I'll test further is there was some pretty severe lag when I went into the promised land biome. I played it on single player, so I figure it was chunk loading that was taking abnormally long. I apologise in advance if this was already brought up, and when I have time today I'll test it further on a new single player map.
i got the mod to work and everything and im ok with deleting the stats every time i get a flower but for some reason unknown when the mod is installed the picture of the items even default items pictures don't come out :c makes me very sad plz help?
Ok so i download it and place the in .minecraft , and i have forge. When i try to play it loads and crashes on the mojang screen. I do have other mods, but i started with a new minecraft and tried and it still crashed. If anyone can be nice and give a more.... explained download instructions or a video would be great. Also i took a look and the crash report and it said nothing about biomes o plenty
Well, that's one thing I won't have to do in my mod any more. Question though - does it only affect wood or also works with saplings, leaves, planks, slabs and stairs?
I have also noticed a few bugs in earlier version (it is possible they are already fixed as I posted some just before TDWP_FTW passed his mod to Ted). I'll revise them and will post them on git.
Does currently only affect wood, since that was probably my main gripe as well as everyone else's. Feel free to make some changes and pull them here: https://github.com/ted80/BiomesOPlenty Ted does seem to be pretty open to community support

I'd suggest the first time you install the mod, you install both the files in resources and in the mods folder. From then on, you may as well just only install the actual mod zip (and remove the old one) and forget about the resources unless you notice a severe lack of sound in places (which will be highly unlikely, but who knows?)

Hi, sorry to ask but I was wondering if you could tell us exactly how we can solve the problem with the missing IDs
Thanks
I thought i answered this, but i don't remember for sure so i'll answer it again. It's not that they are missing, it's that another mod (or possibly even this mod if you changed it's ids and havn't fixed them for an update) is conflicting with the IDs from Biomes O Plenty and Forge has decided that mod gets priority over the same id making the other item go 'missing'. So in conclusion: Fix those damn rotten ids!

Firstly, we can't help you unless you actually post the crash report. Secondly, if biomes o plenty isn't in the crash log, there's a 99% chance it is nothing to do with Biomes O Plenty and your talking to the wrong people.
EDIT: MCF seems to be very selective in what it auto-merges :/

Yeah, I've already added few simple fixes and now I'm working on other. Few things will probably need me learning some stuff, but that's something I wanted to do either way

Just pulled them into my repo now
Oh, also for those listening, Ted also pulled all of the other changes i mentioned making the changelog for the next release the following:

I figured it out. It was something with forge. I changed the version and it worked. I might of used the wrong one. But its working now.
Heh, you guys seem to be doing an awesome job with the mod so far. Much better than I was.
Thanks
I'd hate give a bad name to your biomes though, so i'll probably avoid adding new ones (unsure about ted and amnet's thoughts on adding new ones but i certainly don't want to spoil it). I know i for one certainly can't replace your creativity and awesome designs when it comes to adding new ones.
New ones are good... you wouldn't be giving it a bad name... just adding to the legacy?
Meh, in my opinion, unless someone did a really good job at making the new one have the same 'feel' as the current ones, i'd still personally vote no towards it.
Also, created an IRC channel for Biomes O Plenty on Espernet. Feel free to join: #bop

hey thanks for the response I seriously don't know how anyone could play minecraft without this mod thumbs up for you guys. I actually have it working now with millenaire, (only biomes mod compatable atm I believe) and more nature plus a few others!
