Well, it was on Google Docs originally, but that didn't work well, as people could just vote as many times as they wanted. I think I'll just do a tie breaker though. It's too late into the voting to redo it again, as some people might not know they have to vote again, and it'd be a lot easier to just do a tie break.
The whole contest was pretty much a failure honestly. I felt bad for not including suggestions I didn't like, or weren't really possible to do, and it was just a mess all together. I didn't think the contest would get as much reception as it did, but it actually brought in a lot of traffic.
I kind of have to agree with this, I just also realised that with most survey websites clearing your cache lets you vote again, (which can obviously be ABUSED to a certain extent) It would of been interesting if you put the list on the front page for us to discuss in the Forum Thread, and yes it would mean going through pages to read each point but you'll find explanations why people want that biome instead of click "Blahblah Biome" and done. And that means you get to place in biomes that you find fitting (and of course achievable) to your own needs regardless of it winning or not. I just think there should be more discussion on this first. So we can come up with something that most of us can agree on.
But hey, you took the time to create the competition and thank you so much for that, it was pretty fun submiting our potential ideas, and I do hope out of the two; Jade Forest wins.
Well ****...I just went to go check the results page, and apparently SurveyMonkey surveys are limited to 100 responses each unless you have a paid membership. There are 192 votes total right now, but only 100 have been counted in the results. The Coral Reef and Jade Forest are tied with 20 votes each, or at least, from what I can actually see.
I guess I'll either add both to the mod, or do a tie breaker.

The Emperor's Rage echoes through the hills. The Emperor's Strength grips this land with fists of iron. The Emperor's Courage burns everlasting. The Endless Army will crush the Emperor's foes.
I hope you can find a workaround to get the leaves on those trees to decay, I know that'd bother the hell out of me.
There's not really any possible workaround for it. The huge trees aren't really meant to be cut down anyway. Not every biome with trees will have huge trees, only a certain few. The rest will have small/medium-small sized trees.
Also, this is what the new improved Forest biome looks like:
It's not completely final, as I might add a few other custom trees, but for the most part, this is what it'll look like now. Still only oak and birch in it, etc.
Small islands of grass blocks, extra tall grass, reeds, and mud surrounded by murky water and possibly underwater grass (this might be VERY hard to code). rivers stretching throughout the biome allowing a clear path for boats to pass through. This biome should also be huge, giving a sense of it resembling a maze of overgrown grass and reeds.
I am asking this despite the fact that you say no modpacks, because i thought of a compromise. If instead of actually being packaged in the pack, if the pack had a fetcher that would open up a download from your hosting of it, would that be acceptable (ie. the pack includes a small browser, that it would open the d/l page in and when the normal d/l link is clicked, the pack would automatically set the file location, etc to it's directory)?
... block to extend my signature to infinity. I can now place as much text in this quote as I want. text outside of this quote block +BBCode for quote through the word my maxes out 2 lines, but look this signature fully extended is almost a page long.
Anyone willing to teach me Java? I wanna make some mods.
It looks awesome. You should add a new biome that adds new ores that can be made into blocks and use for a new dimension where there is floating islands with npc village and new ore!
I tried doing a config option that just changes what trees are used in the biomes, but it doesn't seem to work. I'll have to create separate biomes that don't have the new trees.
Yeah, it seems to be an ID conflict that made the blocks from my mod use vanilla block IDs. It's probably because you have other mods that have terrain blocks (Which require the blocks to have IDs of 256 or lower), and they're just all conflicting.

I don't think that's true, since you included redwood saplings and planks, etc. On any mod that added trees, "the leaves don't decay" would be bug report 1 on page 1, just sayin'.

How did the Overgrown Swamp do?
I go by AquaBuzzardHR on my YouTube Channel. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyrxj072mhHlrhiv6RoZcWw
It is a channel about building and being creative, currently playing on the Lake Laogai SMP.

I will ask though - Do we have to make a new world when this updates? Because yeah, I can see there's a few more biomes in the pipeline.
Something odd I found as well - When I use bonemeal on one of the new trees, it grows the tree but doesn't use up the bonemeal.

Quick question though, why did you take out the reef in the first place only to put it back in?
also, i suport the jade forest too^^
Maybe make a 'Better Trees' world type? :3
Ash can only be found in 2 biomes. 2 out of the 60 (Well, soon to be 70) biomes doesn't really seem overpowered.

I'm glad you're softening on it though.
What's the name of the mod that gives you the minimap like that?
