Made as a natural replacement to the default textures, Tooncraft features a bright, colorful, more "cartoony" theme. It ditches the washed out colors and noisy textures of the default while still retaining the classic Minecraft feel. It was originally created as my own personal texture pack, but later released after the Webhallen texture pack contest from a few years back.
Textures, items, UI, and most mobs' skins have been modified.
There's still bits I'm looking over and finding myself unsatisfied with, but aside from the nitpicking I at least want to get to making the armor items along with armor, boat, cart, and possibly mob/animal skins before I put it out there. I'd rather release it all together when it's done rather than in bits and pieces.

Very nice pack! I like how everything is clean but still detailed. Great stylish shapes, and all the textures work really nicely together. I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more comments so far!
This pack is excellent and deserves much more attention! I really love almost everything you've done - the GUI is superb (rare, usually people mess up the GUI), the grass and ground are great, almost everything is perfect.
I do have a few minor constructive criticisms though:
- I despise the drill; it doesn't match the crafting recipe and looks very foreign when you wield it (particularly when swinging it)... please make an alternative pickaxe (or better yet, make the drill an alternative)
- I'm not a huge fan of the tree bark - looks a little shiny or something. I do, however, LOVE the top and bottom faces with the rings, super creative.
- Custom water and lava?
Please keep in mind, these criticisms are relatively minor compared to the rest of your pack. So far I've found nothing else that I don't really enjoy. Keep it up, I would hate to see this pack crawl away into the depths of dead threads.
Aside from that, this is my definitive texture pack of awesomeness. Your textures are nigh-perfect. The only two things that annoy me are the drill and the wool, and I can live with the wool. Thank you!!
Am I the only one who likes the drill? I wouldn't mind through if the stone and wood pickaxe were just pickaxes.
Haha I was curious how the drill would go over. Alternate item set with picks instead of drills on the way. Also, I haven't really looked into how to get custom water/lava going. Anyone mind pointing me in the right direction? If I remember right it's not as simple as just changing it in the terrain image.

Mongoose!
Edit: Main download link switched to pick axe version. If you already got the earlier pack and would rather just swap out the items.png yourself, here it is:

It actually is just as simple as changing it in the terrain image! However, Minecraft by default does not support custom water or lava, so instead one must use the Xau Patcher to install the pack with said customized water/lava. I would really enjoy it if you could customize those aspects to match what's in the current inventory buckets - I, personally, just use Xau patcher to install all of my texture packs out of habit. Until Notch and his team implements this option for texture packs properly, it's the next best thing.

Real great necro-bump, bro.
Also, this looks wonderous, very RPGish.

This pack looks NOTHING like Splixelset. Try comparing the terrain.png files side by side, they're not even remotely the same.
