Wellcome to the BlackSmith Mod

This mod will be adding some new items and in future versions is planed to add a new crafting cathegory: forging!
So far the mod uses the regular furnace to do this.

Other features are:
Clothing made of wool (granting minimal armor) and is dyeable.
Wooden armor that is slightly better that leather armor.
A recipe for Chain mail (the one from Vanilla Minecraft).

The dyeing can also be done with a piece of clothing (of any color) and the dye of the color the new piece of clothing is wanted the be.

PS: Later I maybe want to add the ability to dye iron armor aswell.

The Wooden Platter used to craft those is crafted like this (shapeless recipe) and with any kind of wood:

- Scale Armor

Steel Scale Armor is slightly better than usual Iron Armor.

Obsidian Scale Armor offers as much protection as usual Diamond Armor but with less durability and an enormous efficiency for enchantments (more than twice as good as gold).

Diamond Scale Armor offers slightly better protection than usual Diamond Armor and is even a bit more durable.

The Scale Armoring used to craft these is made by combining scales of either steel, diamond or obsidian and a piece of Chain mail.

In future versions i plan to add a projectile protection bonus to all Scale Armor.

--Swords

The swords of this mod will be crafted by first making a hilt, than a sword use that has to be forged (at the moment that is baking it in the furnace) to become the sword.

Steel Swords make damage like Diamond Swords and have thrice the durability of Iron Swords, also its enchantability is slightly better.

Obsidian Swords make damage like Diamond Swords and have almost as much durability. Its enchantability is very high (more then twice as good as the enchantability of gold Swords).

This mod is planed as a module to a package of mods. The idea of the package is to make a medieval themed world.
I hope some of you like it and will give some feedback to help me make this mod as good as possible.

Installation:

For version 1.1.1 You will need Forge 6.0.1.332, You can get it here.

Navigate to your '.minecraft' folder (on Windows 7 "%AppData%\.minecraft")
Open the 'bin' folder
Open 'minecraft.jar' with winrar or 7zip (or similar tool of your choice)
Delete the 'META-INF' folder if there is one

You will need 'Forge 4.1.1 Minecraft 1.3.2' for this mod.

To install this on it's own into a minecraft environment, simply copy the
contents of the fml zip file into the minecraft jar file, using your preferred
zip management tool (I recommend 7 zip on windows).

For servers: the minecraft jar file is minecraft_server.jar.
For clients: the minecraft jar file is minecraft.jar. You will additionally need
to delete the "META-INF" folder in the minecraft.jar file.
For bukkit: the mcportcentral custom builds of craftbukkit contain all you need
already. Please refer to mcportcentral.co.za for more information.
  

If you have Forge installed start Minecraft and let it load until you get the main menue screen
Close minecraft again
Navigate to you '.minecraft' folder as done before
Open the mods folder
Place the downloadet *zip file in the folder
Play and have fun ^^.

how to install forge on your server:

Open your 'minecraft_server.jar' with winrar (or similar tool like 7zip)
Open the downloadet Forge universal version
Coppy content from Forge folder into 'minecraft_server.jar'
Do NOT delete META-INF !!!
Run minecraft server
Close minecraft server
Done

If Forge is already installed on your server:
To install BlackSmith Mod to your Server just drag and drop the *.zip file into the servers 'mods' folder.
Done.

good to hear/read the texturing took me some time cause i am not used to it

Kay so this mod is preeeeeeetttty God damn Epic!!!
It adds so much into the game!
I made the video were I try to speak, describe, show the crafting recepies and talk about everything and I managed to complete all that Under 8 minutes :3! Though I'm ain't much still.. here you go!
