Since there are vnailla commands in recent snapshots that let you do such things as disabling random spawning and mob griefing, is there a command to PERMANENTLY disable rain/snow/storm? I know about /toggledownfall, but it's not permanent. I'm talking about SSP, so don't say "there's a plugin for that".

If I remember correctly, Optifine can do this.

You can set the weather to be only sunny weather, keep the time set to day or night, among other things.

EDIT: As far as the latest snapshots go, I don't really think so.

And make it do /toggledownfall ?
It will make it turn the weather on/off every time the clock ticks.

But otherwise I recommend making this:
Spoiler:
Just a little something I use to keep myself from typing /toggledownfall all the time.

<facepalm> I tried to do infinite redstone loop connected to command block with this command, but when you unluckily exit MC when the rain has been turned on (matter of lessthan 1 second), the rain will instantly be active when you open the world again.

Optifine's settings won't preserve if you send world save to someone who has pure vanilla MC, so that's not an option.

Set a clock to a command block with the command
 /weather clear
That will keep the rain away. Personally I use this along with a block resetting the time, all connected to a falling cart clock.

you don't need to just type /toggledownfall  and place a block where he has a water mealon to turn off the rain, i made a clock and attatched 2 command blocks to a clock 1 turns off the rain /weather clear   the outher sets the time to day    /time set 1800

Do toggle downfall clear 10000 and it will be clear for a VERY long time. Then if it rains just do the same thing.

You are wrong about optifine it has a config file optionsof.txt in the main MC folder you can send to others it does not exist in the world folder...

Have everyone tweak the settings once you give them the optionsof.txt file so it will fit their PC settings not just yours.

There is a /weather command that accepts a time, just do "/weather clear" then a large number in seconds.
