Recently, I've had the idea to create a top 5 redstone series that will be better than any before it *cough*machinima's*cough* With the help of the redstone community here, we can make that happen and it's a chance for everyone to get some exposure as a redstoner. If you'd like to submit your creation to the series, follow the instructions below.
Here's how to submit your creation:
1. Add your world save to archive. (WinZip or 7Zip) 2. Then upload to a popular file hosting site or email the archive directly to me. 3. Email the web address to [email protected] and don't forget to add pictures! 4. Give your minecraftforum.net username so you can receive credit!
However, for any reason, if posting here is easier, feel free to do so.
If you are on the Xbox360 and wish to submit your creations, you need to have it recorded and the video should be under 2 minutes. Then send it to the above address.
First Episode:
Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to anyone that submitted!
While it's still growing, I'll probably be the sole judge since we will have a small amount of entries to go through, but once things pick up I'll ask 2 more people to help out. I'll be making a video for the results
And here's a horribly done video with bad editing and my mic cutting out a lot:
You can't do much with it and my next one will be much better. This one is pretty much as basic as you can get. I just wanted to be the first guy to create something like this on MCXBLA.

Notice how there's water and hills and mountains beyond the flat area that's only 300 x 200 meters. You don't need mods to know how to use a duplication glitch and flatten a piece of land... The only part of this where I came remotely close to "using hacks" is downloading the map with this pre-flattened area.
Btw there are no mods for MCXBLA other than texture packs right now. And I don't own a JTAG so I can't even use those.

I just don't like how he edited the counting part out for some reason. Also, my mic cut out like 50 times while I was trying to explain everything. Plus we had to cut out the part where I showed how to write a program. And you can see a blatantly obvious flaw multiple times where 2 pieces of redstone dust are missing on the subtraction instruction line. The next one will make this look like garbage, I promise.

I saw some clips that I'd trim out if you were to make it in the top 5
I suppose I'll throw my towel into the ring. I am incredibly proud of this, and I think it is safe to say it is the greatest bank ever constructed in minecraft.
I have some unedited silent videos of the bank if you want to see them, but I do not have the world file as it is on a server hosted by my friend and co-minecrafter (IGN: miles).
i'm not a redstone geek but...
...well it's to simple

Tell me when you're on the server, so you can explain the features to me

If this is directed at me, you should look at the massive amount of redstone that went into the PIN data storage and all that it processes, not to mention the vault and deposit cart signal bussing. If it's not directed at me, well then you should be more clear

It does look pretty awesome, but I have a hard time believing that much redstone went into the project. Redgame 3 only had 50,000 dust, 6,000 repeaters, 6,000 torches, and 2,000 pistons. Your build doesn't look like it could double that.
Can we submit the stuff here instead of by email? If so, I would like to submit two creations, however I'm not sure if we're allowed to and one of them got broken by the new piston timings in 1.3 so if you'd like footage of that one you'd have to borrow it out of my video. If you want to see the second entry tell me, but right now it isn't compatible with 1.3. Anyways, here's the creation I'll submit that does work with the current update (last time I checked anyway). It's a giant connect-4 board that has a color screen, does not use X's and O's, and is not gravity-reliant. http://www.minecraft...-water-or-lava/ The other thing I'd want to submit if I knew the rules about submitting two and it was fixed for 1.3 is more practical, the forum post is here.

I'm only accepting contraptions that work in 1.3 and you can post them here.

In that case, ignore the second link and just look at the first one. Maybe I can fix it for the next episode. For future reference, Is there a rule about submitting more than one per round?

Here's the thread, with screenshots and in-depth explanation throughout:

The video isn't that bad haha, nice job though!

Well, who are you to decide whether or not it's simple? Let's leave it up to the competition mhm?
Tell me when you're on the server, so you can explain the features to me
Uh, I don't play on that server much anymore since I came to college and got into the RDF, so it'd be best to set up a time some evening or weekend.
