Heya peeplz! I'm a bit of a modder myself, but I'm more of an artist. So basically, I ask my friends to help me in modding. Hope you like my mods!

     Well, basically, the mod is based off of Bacon being used as sticks in tool recipes, bacon being sticks (durr) and PorkChops being the ores. They have the same durability as wood for now I believe, but I hope to change that maybe.

GUI Change

None required

This basically just changes the GUIs (meaning the Crafting Pop-up, Inventory, etc.) To a little fancier version. I used the original layout for the inventory to create the rest from BobOfTibia's inventory change here. I will most likely remove my download when he posts his finished version, and just link you to his if you want.

Installation Instructions:

1) Open up %appdata%, if you don't know how to do this, start>run, then type in %appdata%
2) Browse to .minecraft/bin
3) Open up minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip.
4) Open the gui folder INSIDE of your .jar
5) Drag and drop the files from inside this folder in.
6) Run Minecraft!

Hello everyone! Kingbdogz made this mod originally, but stopped updating it. So I present to you and update. My new friend, GuntherDW was kind enough to update it for me! Now we have Bacon Blocks v2.5. It goes perfectly with my Bacon Tools mod. I'll update with some screenshots. Basically, you craft a bacon block like this I think Those of you that downloaded v2, re-download PLEASE. Nicaetinismo updated this for you, so be sure to thank him.

funny modXDXD but i have to a idea for you apple+golden apple toolsXD and sapling tools slime tools  and moreXD
i really want a mod that makes 15 or more coral types  but different than the one from nanodalt it must can work with only modloader:P because i am than adding all because i have working sponges mod wich spawn sponges on the world alchemist mod who spawns kelp under the water  and i am going to add nanodalts one and if you make one i add it to

Thx guys! And yah, the bacon is edible, it heals one heart. I hope to eventually make the tools edible too

how good are the tools in terms of strength, durability ect. compared to other tools?

I think that the bacon sword should be extremely effective against pigs. Like a one hit. Also, you should be able to "cook" the tools into something thats a midway between stone and iron.

Also, bacon arrows! Kill a creeper with bacon arrows and make it drop a bacon record! Lol jk.

Hehe, tools are normally called by their ore. The ore for these tools is pork. Think about what that means certain tools would be called...

I know whatcha mean life XD, I laughed at that too. The tools durability is the same as wood, I believe. And I do hope to make the tools edible and possibly cookable. Of course, I need to contact Andy, so be patient for an update

Seriously, though what is the point of these tools? If they are the equivalent of wood tools where wood is far easier to find and is readily available and farmed then why would I use my food to make tools that are pretty much worthless to me after the first night. I get that its more of a novelty item but novelty wears off very fast. I dont think I see I myself using these unless they had a bigger purpose than the tools we already have available to us.

If you get round to making bacon armour, I think it'd be fun if it attracted hostile monsters towards you at night - like a 25% increase (im not sure if this is even possible hah) it'd be more of a jokes armour, than protective.

Mods don't need to have a point. 'Tools' do. These are bacon TOOLS are they not? I just think for them to trully be unique they would have to do something new...otherwise why even have it? Like, if it was a substitute for iron tools or something maybe but as it is now... in game people stop using wood tools after like the first 10 minutes.. to get this mod just for novelty is sort of pointless when you're gonna replace these novelty items after your first night. I don't know if you understand what I am trying to say. People like things that look good or add something new. But when a mod makes something look good (i.e. yay bacon pickaxe) but to take advantage of its novelty forces you to give up better/more useful things (diamond pickaxe) its not exactly something I would personally get.

In short I think that if you made them have a similar durability/strength to better tools currently available more people would consider getting it for its looks. Furthermore if you made the tools do something useful that no other tool currently does, a large majority of people will want it. e.g. Pork sword could kill pigs faster and give more meat per kill/or gurantee you a piece of meat per pig. I am not saying its a bad idea, I am just saying.

Well, I do really appreciate your advice, and I COMPLETELY agree with you. I have suggested some of these to Andy, and next time he gets on he says he will help. Does this answer satisfy you? The tools are still in their first phase of awesomeness, and for now, you are are correct, the mod is just for looks although I hope to make them useful! Thank you for your advice
