Alright, so it looks like you guys aren't going to let this die so here's the scoop.
First off: school sucks.
Second, I don't have a scanner set up anymore, and won't have one for the foreseeable future due to moving and attending even more school.
Finally, I can't say I really want to work on this anymore. This project started as a sort of proof of concept for an art style I want to use in a game of my own. I was also really into Minecraft at the time and had rather stupidly optimistic dreams of becoming a texture art superstar like Rhodox or Doku. Nowadays, I don't play Minecraft anymore, so the only reason to keep this updated is for you guys.
However, over the past year, the only time people bumped this thread was when I hadn't updated to the latest patch. This caused the thread to die mere days after I had spent hours upon hours updating it. I'm definitely not blaming you guys (after all I never provide feedback on things I download either), but that's just how it is. Maybe I should have put more effort into advertising it, or at least have spent more time maintaining it, but what's done is done.
To top it off, I personally think this texture pack is kind of crap. I feel like If I started from scratch today with a better scanner and a lot of time on my hands (like I used to have), I could make something vastly superior to this inconsistent, artifact-filled, incorrectly tiled nonsense. But that's just, like, my opinion, man. Maybe in the future when I'm a rich and famous indie game developer, I'll take time off from my busy schedule of pretending to make games and giving speeches about DRM to remake this. Meanwhile, if any of you fine folks want to have a crack at continuing this lovely train-wreck, feel free. If you need me to explain any part of the process, go ahead and give me a shout, I still get email updates for this thread.
So for those of you that were still checking in on this ghost town, eager for any sort of update, I am deeply sorry to have failed you, truly. Thank you all for your support, and your (hopeful) understanding, It has certainly been an interesting experience.
This is the soon-to-be-famous Dableo, signing off.
Shine on you crazy diamonds.
Wow, I got rather carried away there...
This update should make the pack work with the full release of minecraft.
I haven't added any strictly new content, as my scanner isn't currently hooked up, but I've 'shopped together some tiles where I could, and just copied over the vanilla ones where I couldn't.
Select it in Minecraft, and you should be good to go.
If you have difficulties, it is unlikely I'll be able to help you; ask in the patcher's thread.
Here's a preview of the terrain.png (lower res and no transparency):
And here's the items.png (ditto):
High Res (Click for 1080p):
1.7 Compatibility Update!

See the first image in the screenshot section for a preview!
Added the stuff in minecraft 1.6:
--forgot the map icon
More gui stuff:
--health, armor, breath meters
Got started on the menus:
-main menu background
-fixed how grass renders on the "Fast" Graphics setting
-fixed the watch
Thanks "TheName" for the tip!
-Birch and Pine Sapling
-New wool that looks more neutral
-Grass to be biome compatible (really happy with how the sidegrass turned out)
-dirt and sidesnow tiles better
-ice tiles better
-steel door sides are better (still not perfect due to the way minecraft makes the edges)
Fixed up the terrain.png a bit, specifically:
-evened out the colour of dirt
-played with the tiling between sidegrass and dirt (hopefully better)
-fixed up bricks to not suck as much
-trimmed flowers, mushrooms, wheat and the iron door to look cleaner
-made pine bark tile properly
-recoloured sandstone to be the same hue as sand
-the iron block doesn't look like tin foil anymore (still just a photoshop filter, though)
All items added except bow and armor!!!
This took a whole 25 hours of work (which I did in one session :S)
