A few days ago Minecraft started playing with an average of 15 fps.
What could be wrong?
I have been playing 1.3.2 without lag before, but no more!
- tried optifine, very low settings, but the fps is about the same.

When I keep Minecraft open in a tiny window, instead of full screen, the fps will usually be 30-50 fps,
but then it's impossible to see anything.

Memory leak maybe?
Are you running anything more than minecraft at the moment of the Framedrop?
Also, could you please check your activity monitor?

Also, have your updated your java to the latest version?
I once forgot to update my java on my macbook after a defragment, ran under 10fps because of old java.

This issue wouldn't be caused by a memory leak. Memory leaks cause Minecraft to run out of RAM after a few minutes.

This forum's support section is mostly Windows users. I would recommend using Windows terms by default unless there is evidence to believe they are running in a *nix or *nux system.

Didn't notice that i used any unix terms?
There is an activity monitor on windows.
And Minecraft requires an up-to-date Java. :P

im having the same issue game running fine for 15 mins then fps goes to 0 and chunks updates go to 0 and game freezes non stop to unable to do anything at all

has nothing to do with memory everything els outside minecraft works fine during this and also minecraft itself says memory use isnt even 20% while this is hapening

my java and graphics drivers are up to date so not the problem either and only started recently
funny enough nothing changed that could explain it
