Mmm, depending on what kind of computer you're using or how you configure your computer...a variation of the answer is in fact always staring you in the face unless you use something that takes up the whole screen. I think I may have just given the answer away...or maybe confused you more.
Also I'm pretty sure a calender month can't work with this riddle. I tend to be pretty anal about riddles having more than one possible (edit forgot to add-) -answer(olol), so I think I would've realized it if there were another.

Ehhh, alright I'll give you guys the answer.

"I'm a digital clock."
It uses four 7-point displays (28 things) and two constantly lit dots for the colon (2 constant things). I could've made it a bit more obvious by saying "I can lie, but that all depends on you," now that I think about it.
Now for a bonus riddle and answer. It's kind of...bad. If you've browsed a certain board on GameFAQs for a while you'll probably know this one, or at least the answer.
"A Man is attempting to move around a pool of sharks. If someone were to attempt to move around the edges a shark would get them. The Man cannot cross the pool, only move around it. How does he do this?"
Answer: "The Man is a planet and the sharks are a room outside."
Explanation: The Man is literally a planet. The sharks are in a room outside, Man orbits around the planet, which allows him to move around the sharks.
