
WorldEdit is a powerful tool that assists you in building, fixing, and repairing problems It is essentially a in-game map editor. WorldEdit was historically for multiplayer only, but is also now single player compatible thanks to the work of simo_415!

It's very powerful and you can do all sorts of things with it:
- Mine instantly with the super pickaxe tools
- Use your compass to quickly teleport to areas by left clicking
- Replace a giant area with a block of your choice
- Level an entire mountain and replace it with natural looking terrain (with brush tools)
- Smooth an entire mountain quickly
- Generate spheres, cylinders, cuboids, forests, pumpkin patches, and snowy areas
- Copy areas, paste them, load them, and save them (compatible with MCedit)
- Count the statistical variation of blocks inside an area
- Ascend through ceilings, pass through walls
- Build tunnels quickly with //stack
- Test out experimental architectural designs easily
- Fix problems with your map

Tutorial
The idea (for the selection commands) is that you make a cube-like selection by choosing two points:
- Type //wand to get a wand
- While holding the wand (a wooden axe), left click on a block
- Right click on another block to select the second point
- Type //set rock
- Type //expand 2 up
- Type //set glass
- Type //move 1 up
- Type /up 5
- Type //walls brick
- Type //set 0
- Type /snow 5
- Type //undo

WorldEdit is not a regular "mod" -- it comes as a reusuable library and is compatible for all Minecraft versions as long as you have something to run WorldEdit. For single player, this is Single Player Commands. WorldEdit comes with Single Player Commands, however, you can update WorldEdit separately.
