So i just realized that Tekkit 3.1 just came out, but when i launch it from the Techinc launcher it is still set on 1.2.5, i tried to update and that failed, any idea of what i need to do to get it to run on my server?

Tekkit is still on 1.2.5.

The version number doesn't reflect the Minecraft version.

Tekkit is almost NEVER out for a new version when it comes out. Wait a month or two.

They can't start working on the 1.4 version until at least the prerelease for that is out.

Yes, it is possible, though there's a high chance that it might crash. There's a lot of Mods in Tekkit/Technic so it shouldn't be surprising one of the Mods you install causes a conflict.

That's the way it's supposed to be done in the first place. It doesn't take a genius to change item ID's so that they won't conflict, you usually don't have to wait as long and you often end up with less bugs.
For every reaction there is a moderator overreaction.

Actually, what I meant by conflict is when 2 Mods edit the same Class Files, triggering a negative effect and causing the game to crash, it doesn't necessarily have to be about Items IDs.

I'm fresh and new with Minecraft PC but I play on the xbox. Anyone got any good mods that a nooby should try out? I already have Superflat ++ and its good. My friends told me to download Tekkit but i saw it was only at V1.2.5 so I read into it. Too Bad at least those three mods are updated.
