So I'm using forge, FallFix (to force respawning at spawn, no fuzz), Improved Log Placing (to make it easier to stack vertical wood blocks), More Villages, Superior Enchanting, and Water Propagation fix.
Then, in the mods folder, I have ruins.
I get plenty of ruins.
Water in the ocean now works without currents.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Hi, sorry for your difficulty with the mod. Ok, did you rename the mod for your script? (If not, where did you download the file?) Second, have you tested the extreme version on a test world, with those same mods. I've retested with forge, and ruins and I have confirmed that my mod does still work. If you test the extreme version and it does not generate villages almost everywhere, in all biomes, then something is possibly conflicting. I've seen no complaints from server users, but of course every setup is different.
Please follow up with further information and we will figure out what could be wrong. As you said, it should not be a class file problem.
(In testing, I had more than one world where I had to travel a very long distance (more than 2000 blocks) to find a village at all. So maybe it's just bad luck?)
With fml i get an internal server error. Help perhaps?
Um, a couple questions: which version of forge/fml did you try, and which version of my mod, client or server?
I've been running my mod with forge for awhile now. currently at 4.0.0.241 and I've not ran into any errors. I also just tested the last fml only build 3.0.183.356 and still no issues.
Again, more information would be helpful, as no one else has reported this issue.
With the recent zombie infiltration the villagers have decided to expand into new territories.
This mod allows villages to generate in all major biomes. Forest, Extreme Hills, Jungle, Taiga, Swamp, and of course the normal Plains and Desert.
****** Update August 20th, 2012 - 15:50 hrs. ******
Now that the villagers have had time to get more familiar with newly discovered regions, they have started upgrading their buildings with new materials! Forests, Extreme Hills, Jungles, and Taigas buildings have all taken on new looks. No new buildings yet, that is to come perhaps. But enjoy the new look and feel of villages everywhere.
*Mod is for Minecraft 1.3.2*
Please do backups before trying any new mods.
*Note: New villages will only appear in new chunks. Old chunks (from existing worlds) will remain unchanged. So travel, or start a new world to see the new look of the villages.*
I'm including two downloads, a "Normal" version, and a "Extreme" version. The "Extreme" version will spawn a lot more villages than default minecraft. The "Extreme" version is mainly for fun and testing.
*Extreme version note: Currently villages have a chance of spawning approximately every 32 blocks. In any valid biome you will not have to travel too far to find a village. The random generation of each village has not changed, so you will find tiny villages, huge villages, and sometimes multiple villages merged.
*The extreme version can and will most likely cause lag in high density areas.
Installation:
At this time you need to extract the files in the zips into the appropriate minecraft jar file. (Unzip download, open minecraft.jar, drag files into the jar, delete meta-inf if needed, play.)
Note on Materials: Currently the default minecraft source to generate each village building is limited by base materials. I will add a "Readme.txt" into the next version with the exact materials used in each biome. Without a complete rewrite of the minecraft village generation source it is impossible to use certain specific materials.
Example: In the source there is a option to choose "wood", but only "wood". You can not specifically choose "Jungle wood" which is a metadata value of the base "wood". Again, unless someone can tell me I'm just doing it wrong ( ) a re-write of the source generation will be needed.

You should add some form of a roof over the farms in the snow biome to stop the water freezing over. Other than that this is a great mod I barely ever find a village in vanilla.
This mod seems pretty cool. ill download it, but in the next update, i would recommend that you add villages that dont look exactly like the NPC villages. for example: tree house communities, igloo communities, teepee communities, maybe ruins of incan, aztec, and mayan cities, maybe even dungeon like structures in the ruins. you can even make a few mobs like the inuits, jungle people, nomads, and buffalo. i just think that the mod should be a little bit more diverse. but other than that, great mod
Hi, sorry for your difficulty with the mod. Ok, did you rename the mod for your script? (If not, where did you download the file?)
I did have to rename it. Re-downloading, and looking at it ...
Yea, I renamed it because it downloaded as a horrible name -- [1.3.2] More Village Biomes V2_Server Normal.zip
And while I can handle spaces in my file names, I'm not sure of my script's ability to handle shell meta characters like '[' and ']'.

Ok, checking with extreme ...
Silly me, forgot to wipe the chunks. Trying again ...
Ok, extreme, no forge, lots of them. Good.
extreme, forge, ruins, wiping chunks again: Yep.
Normal, forge, ruins, wiping chunks: Yes! Found a frozen one in a taiga.
Now, why are all the leaves in that forest going poof? All of them. All the trees going bare.

Thought I would try something crazy and see if the newest snapshot, 12w36a, would launch with this mod. Used MCPatcher, and unexpectedly Minecraft launched and played correctly...But the mod didn't seem to do anything to the patch.
I am not complaining, jut wanted to share the results of my curiosity.
Otherwise, love the mod. I almost turn into a SimCity gamer with this installed. Lots of villages spawn in ridiculous ways, particularly in the extreme hills and swamp biomes, so I set out to fix them in game.
Really fantastic looking to have a village floating in the water in a swamp biome all connected by wooden docks.
Very nice video, well presented. Thanks!
And yes, I think the snow biome villagers need some assistance.
I decided to downgrade to the normal version. Too many villages for me. ( I like the solidarity)
I get _NO_ extra villages at all.
Here's my server creation:
TMPDIR=`mktemp -d server.jar.XXX` || exit 1
cd $TMPDIR
unzip "$JarDir"/minecraft_server-132.jar
unzip "$ModDir"/minecraftforge-universal-4.0.0.241.zip

But no villages. Any ideas?
(Does not appear to be a .class file conflict).

Don't Try it with F.M.L. with the mod, it works but if you attack anything you will receive a internal server error.

Hmm ... Did not happen without forge on the server ...
And the only forge mod is ruins ...
