Hey, dude, you should add the colluseum. You know, the big structure in rome that the gladiators used to fight for there lives... it may not fit into such a amazing city, but the colluseum is in rome... why should it not be in minecraft?
Amazing job dude. Good luck

Going to add more detail to the streets and floors, and possibly add some more buildings/smaller buildings before releasing as a texture pack/city, so that folks can have fun exploring or destroying this city.

You see, you are a rare talent. Most people in Minecraft, build SkyScrapers as a giant tower made out of cobble, with a ENTIRELY FLAT SURFACE. No trims, nothing. See, this is how everyone should build, with detail, trims, and none flat surfaces.

Pretty cool city ^,..,^ http://img34.imagesh...i/mansionb.jpg/ <-  my mansion and some pokemon sprites
I'm not into building skyscrapers just yet, I'm going with smaller mansions/houses but I hope this will give you some ideas :D Also here's a vid link so you can see the inside of it aswell as the huge hotel ive been building. I can also offer .schematic files for both. The mansions got alot more effort and time into it, and thus looks alot better.
The hotel was mostly made in mc edit. I basicly created one room and cloned it 176 times. I just got a flatmap last night and i've got a few ideas floating around so I'll make you a few neat things to throw in your map!

small edit: The hotel at the time of that video was not finished, I've added alot to the face of it to make it alot more apealing. I'll get back to you with a screenshot or two
*Sees Dragon* hmm...
*Looks at sadle on the ground* here goes nothing!

These buildings are pretty awesome. I can't imagine the amount of work you put in them. A suggestion for another skyscraper is the Sears Tower in Chicago?

Something like this?  Again, unfortunately i'm limited to the height limit and can't really make them VERY big - big enough to have floors, and more detail, but this is to scale at a 104 block height limit

Wow...that was really quick :L Yeah that's good, that's great actually.  A bit too dark but that's obviously not your fault. I like the lighter squares around the middle and 3/4 mark. They look pretty cool. The only complaint really is that the whole building is a bit dark. Maybe you could change the texture of the wool you used and make it a tad lighter?

Played with the texture and windows a bit, yea it was quick because I can't do much with it :(.  I could make it a lot thicker, add more detail, and floors, but it wouldn't be to scale and wouldn't look like the original tower

Actually I am using Glowstone, I edited the texture and made the Glowstone resemble Fluorescent lighting, not touching the torches at all!

Nice :iapprove: An idea would be to add maybe a hotel with a resturant, bar, and other cool stuff, or you could maybe add a huge cruise ship in that huge land of water

Wow, who would know a small change made such a difference :wood: Vastly more aesthetically pleasing. The coloring still a bit off, but that's just my twisted perfectionist mind talking D: This is a great effort, have a GIANT CREEPER BIG ENOUGH TO BLOW UP YOUR CITY FOR YOUR EFFORTS :wood:  :Iron:

If you're still looking for ideas there's the Chrysler Building and the Hearst Tower. The Hearst Tower, in my opinion, looks really modern and awesome :wood:
