Hey guys, I need some help...
Is there ANY program out there, any program AT ALL that can help me install a skin in Minecraft, without having to go to Minecraft.net? (I do not want to visit the official site because it is currently down, it's been down almost for three days.)
I've tried to do it by going %appdata%, then .minecraft, then minecraft.jar, then mob, then char.png, but that doesn't work!
Either can someone tell me how to install a skin offline, or can someone tell me how to find out why I cannot do it manually?!
step 1 - Open the start menu (windows button)
2 - click run
3 - type %appdata%
4 - click ok
5 - open .minecraft
6 - open the folder "bin"
7 - open the minecraft.jar file using winrar or 7zip (other programs can be used
8 - open the folder "mob" inside the mc.jar
9 - replace the char.png file with the skin you want.
10 - make sure it's named char.png!
I'm sorry but this should work. The only way I can see a problem is if you're using another launcher file or if you're not renaming it.
If you're using another launcher then look for the .(launcher)launcher. (EX: .TechniclauncherI used to do this in the days when I played the cracked versions and when I had no internet. It should work.
P.s., I'm no longer cracked >.> bought the game lol. Just for safety reasons.

then just rename the image to steve.png and replace the original
Note: Works for 1.7; I havent tested it with 1.8
What if, if that folder has no Bin?
