Very simple idea Stone armour would have the protection of between Leather and Iron
But only can be made out of smooth stone
And due to it being easy to make it would restrict you from moving in water
just to balance it would half your walking speed and would slow you down gathering materials

And Tnt Armour how awesome would that be if you get hit you would explode or you could detonate it using a detonator

Stone is much easier to find than leather, and would protect more. Doesn't that strike you as a tad...imbalanced?

And TNT armor...not sure on that one. People rage enough about AI creepers, imagine what they would say about intelligent ones that can open doors, etc.... It would be a whole new age of griefing in MP...

Stone armour? When have you ever heard of Knights in stone armour?

Also, only made from Smoothstone? Does this mean you'd need to get cobblestone, furnace that to make it smooth again, to then make armour out of it? Sounds easier just searching for Iron if you ask me!

Cheese, do me a favor: Find enough iron to make armor and make the armor, then perform the steps you'd take to get stone armor.

Which one is faster? Time yourself and show me the results.

I don't really like the idea of TNT armor, it seems like it would only cause more griefing in SMP

Green exploding things I can understand, but wanting to make armour, out of stone? That's just ridiculous! and very impractical, you couldn't walk.

Why do you want the armour so quick? I've gone days and weeks in a game without using any armour, partially because I forgot I could make it so easily, but still not the point, the point is it's not needed til you start getting up some confidence and thinking you can whip them zombies. Also, having to smelt the cobblestone back to smoothstone is an annoyance, and trying to find coal can be as bad as having to find Iron most the time!
