Triple Ghast spawners? Pfft, that pales in comparison to some other spawner traps. *cough "Funbox" cough*

Funbox? Pfft. How about the area in NR, with 6 feesh spawners + the funbox? Or the area in Matt's map with the 3x4x2 blaze spawner fun box?

Normal funboxes are easy. Posted Image

Edit: PAGE GET! 8 pages! huzzah! Only 2010 pages left to beat the Super Hostile thread!

I was talking about funboxes in general. Not strictly Vech's designs. :)

Cute.. except spawners aren't the only way to make a map romhack hard. Nice try though
If you don't like the map, find another one to play and stop spamming my thread with negative comments that make no sense.

Version 1.1. Unintended exploding wool, loads of stacked ghast spawners, no stone until the middle of Fear of Falling, etc.

The unintended exploding wool was from a proximity bomb that I accidentally put right beside the red wool.

Alright, I think I can deal with that.

it is horribly unbalanced and you'll probably ragequit very early on. I suggest downloading the latest version (1.2).

View PostMattgeek1997, on 04 November 2012 - 06:10 PM, said:

Well, after the fourth wool in the version you have, the map just becomes impossible unless you are unbelievable at this game. In the newer version, it's actually possible to beat the map.

Impossible, you say? Challenge accepted. I'll just finish up with the map I'm playing right now and do yours next.

...

No thanks, I'm looking for a challenge.

I'm much more interested in that supposedly impossible v1.1 than the modified and easier v1.2.

O_O. Good luck. Enjoy the 8-stack Ghast spawners!

If you can complete v1.1, I would suggest that you play the maps by Xekaj. The Zero Mercy series to be precise.

Did I mention I will go by my usual self imposed rules?

No Lava Bucket
No Ender Pearl
No Piston
No TNT

For the spawner pillar, there's a few ways to deal with them. The easiest would be to deactivate them by placing water/blocks (If you have the luxury to have that) like so :

Just to let you know, I ragequit in the first intersection of version 1.1. I had previously beat Legendary with four deaths.

I'm fairly certain all of the stacked Ghast spawners are in the nether, so no water.
There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.

It was originally designed for 1.3, but there are no problems if you play on 1.4

Last question, am I allowed to use the "Endermen Don't Pick Up Blocks" mod? I am paranoid about them destroying the map little by little (And for a reason since they are known to set off traps intended for the player or move/steal important resources). That will be the only mod used if you're ok with it.

I have no problems with that mod. I don't think there are many blocks for them to pick up anyways.

They can't affect netherrack, obsidian, fish stone, spawners or ores. I don't think the map has anything else (in all seriousness, they can pick up flowers, mushrooms, melons, pumpkins, clay, sand, gravel, cacti and some other blocks the map has none of)

Also, 100 posts. I'd like to thank my family, friends and of course all the nice people (and the mean ones too) on the minecraft forums.

Howdy All!

Episode 2 of my "The Fires Beneath" Let's Play is out!

Even the first intersection is hellish and hard.  I am aiming for this to be high quality with a lot of snarky commentary from my text-overlay.  Give a watch, you most like will enjoy. :)

Thanks!
