Have you ever wanted bocks to occasionally walk around in groups of three or four?
Wanted to be able to harvest them with a sword, not a pickaxe?
Wanted to not have to go mining to find ores of various kinds?
Well I did, so I made a mod that does just that.
These blocks sometimes spawn and will wander and jump around.
Some are rarer than others, and have more health.
Diamond ore: Extremely Rare. Takes 75 hits with a fist to kill.
Grass Block: Fairly common. Takes 10 hits with a fist to kill.
Netherak: Fairly common. Only Spawns in nether. Takes 15 hits with a fist to kill.
All drop what their respective blocks drop (roughly).
Static (non-moving) blocks still generate exactly the same. This just adds to what would normally be there.
Don't worry about structures wandering away either. Static Blocks will not start moving.
Blocks currently in game:
Find your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, this can be found by going to %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin.
Open minecraft.jar in a program such as WinRar or 7-Zip
Drag the files from inside the The Moving Blocks Mod.zip file into Minecraft.jar
Close minecraft.jar, and run Minecraft
Because these blocks move and that is the mod, pictures showing it in action are difficult. But here is one anyway.
Please Note: These are not Reprogrammed Slimes.
All the blocks (for example 'EntityMoveDirt') extend a class I made called 'EntityMoveBlock'.
'EntityMoveBlock' extends 'EntityCreature' and not 'EntitySlime'
The Mood also uses its own Render and Model classes.
For non modders:
I did not use any of the coding for slimes to make this, other than what all creatures in minecraft use.
I have had a lot of requests to add 'Legs' to this mod.
This is not an update of the mod, but lets say, an alternative.
If you wish to have legs on the Moving blocks, download this.
If not, use the link at the top.
It seems that this Mod has some problems on some peoples Minecraft.
If you have floating blocks that are half the size of normal blocks, then please post what mods you are using and I will try to make this mod compatible with those mods. For those of you with this problem, this is what they should look like.
Don't think I've forgotten about this mod. I've encountered some problems while trying to update it to 1.3, but I'm still going. When the new version comes out, it will come with a whole load of new blocks, including bedrock and TNT. Thank you for your patience,
