What's the difference between 16x 32x 64x 128x, etc texture packs?

I don't get the difference, i mean i see everything normal, without any difference or maybe i ignore it, can you tell me what's the difference between all of that?

The higher the resoulution the more pixels per block.

Higher resolution = greater level of detail

If you can't see the difference, then you haven't selected them correctly.

I think you must use MCpactherHD or optifine to get 32x + to work.

Oh i see,thanks for the info i don't really care about the resolution when i download a texture pack,i only care about how cool it looks but i ignore the resolution

I'd be careful if I were you, higher resolutions make minecraft lag more.
