How about an upwards knockback enchantment for swords that makes mobs fly up when you hit them just like the Gravitite sword from the Aether mod?

I think that would be cool to have something like that - the higher the level the higher the mobs fly. Posted Image

Hmmm, good idea, we could call the enchantment "Uppercut".
Only thing is it would make blazes/flying ranged units in other mods a nightmare to fight, but I guess there will be disadvantages with such perks.
If enough people support this idea/have suggestions for tweaking than I'll implement it in the next release.
:)

Clever.
Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?

Ah cool mod. Maybe make some of these higher than 50? (Or 30 when the update finally comes out.)

Just Fixed a glitch with the WISDOM enchantment, crashing the game, as reported by MegaMuffin.

Special thanks to MegaMuffin and Muzuh for taking the time to post 2 video reviews.

They're all below 30, in preparation for the the 1.3 update, and are quite similar in costs to their counterparts
(e.g. poison aspect has about the same chance and slightly less cost than the fire aspect enchantment).

I have many more enchantments to add to the mod, the bulk of them will probably be added during 1.3.

NOTE: Alot of ideas are very similar to an older enchantments mod by xkyouchoux.
He kindly gave me permission to reuse them for this mod, which I hope will revive the ideas the community has for enchanting, and do justice to his legacy.

Note you will need Modloader and PlayerAPI installed

SO WHAT ARE THESE NEW ENCHANTMENTS?

ANOTHER GAME MECHANIC: Counter Blocking
Spoiler:

RECOMMENDED ENCHANTING SYSTEM MODS:
To get full use out of these enchantments I recommend one of the following: FUTURE OF THIS MOD:
  • Multiplayer ports are planned to be released during 1.3
  • Will be dividing this mod into two components:
    • PlayerAPI compatible enchantments (these will be ported to multiplayer first) including the 10 already in this mod.

    • Worldly Enchantments: All other enchantments will be single player for many weeks, as unlike the first category, they require editing of the base classes/creating new entities.
XkYouChoux offered to help with this, so I plan on collaborating on the 2nd category. This will contain most of the enchantments.
  • I'm open to suggestions for new enchantments/improvements.
this is so cool you should add like a shmelter tool so when you hit gold or iron ore you get the ingot instead of a block

You should add this enchantment to the armor were when someone hits you they get burnt. I think you should name this enchantment magma armor.

Hey, if you want I have a youtube channel and I can make a video on all of the enchantments and how exactly to install it. Try to message me back. My youtube channel is: TheMinecraftDude54. So if you are interested I would love to do one. You could put the video on this post and it would make viewers easier and I get channel views, so tell me what you think.

XkYouChoux had a similair idea, calling it burning aspect.

Once playerAPI adds a way for changing the drops of blocks (no base classes changed in the mod), I could cause fortune to make iron/gold ingots to drop from their respective ores (instead of the block itself).

Hmmm, that sounds a bit overpowered, especially in multiplayer.
For now I'll be focusing on enchantments that keep the game balanced, and tie in with the theme.
Thanks for your input though.

Sure. Judging for your youtube channel, you're quite good at making let's play videos.
So it would be an honor :)
