CraftBoy is a complete overhaul skin designed to take you way, way back, to a simpler time when instead of portable Playstations and Nintendos, we had a big bulky box that only displayed graphics in 4 shades of green, and the quality of a game was decided by it's level of fun, not it's graphics.

If you want discernible wool colours, you're using the wrong pack ;-)

The bulk of this pack was made by chibifs and Chocolatekirby in this thread - I've been updating it since Beta!

Search for "craftboy" on The Skindex for a range of player skins for this pack.

Use MC Patcher for custom water, lava, portals, fire, compass and clock.
Some things, such as the compass point and item durability bars can't be modded yet.
The sky is more complicated. There's been NBT Forge, Omen, and maybe Time mod and Change Sky GUI or SkyChanger.

oh hell yeah! :RedShroom:

will you be making alternate lava and water as well? I think you could just wait so that both the liquids and the sky can be modified without using mods

Brilliant fixture on its original

It really gets my hopes up to play some old monochrome games again

Huh. I mentioned that, but must've erased the bullet point while writing the post (added it back in).

He already did 4-bit lava & water, but they're colours & such are generated in code (along with the portal texture). Maybe in future they'll get put to good use!

Updated Pack - OP link updated
Fixed the bow, reduced underwater noise filter, removed darkness vignette.

I can't see how to fix the grass right now. It should look like this:

But actually looks like this:

I suspected the Biome colours to be at fault, so I disabled them using samus7694's textures... it's made no difference. :o

I fixed the grass problem with the HD Texture Patching program that floats around here. Coincidentally it's allowed me to use the water and lava textures built in too!!

Now if only someone made some animated fire to go with this awesome pack :Notch:

one thing I'd suggest here is making the note box have a comp-like keyboard or maybe even piano keys on top to replace the record player in the jukebox and at the same time make the note box look better

btw, I tried installing the pack with the HDpatcher like MisturSrs said and it fixed it for me as well :iapprove:

also, I'll take this opportunity to request a new craftboy skin or an overhaul of the current one, perhaps something more cartoonish or Frenden-styled but in the lovely Gameboy green scale obviously.

keep up the great work Maligree :o

The Jukebox is 2 textures - one for the top, and one for all other sides. The Music Box uses only the Jukebox's side textures, so every side will look the same.

There are alternate textures included in the pack, but I just use the default ones.

I think the FIRE TEX! boxes on terrain.png (near top-right) only work when modded - dunno where it gets the textures from in a normal game. I could put some fire textures in them blocks and see what happens. ;)

Perhaps I should try the HD Patcher and see what it does - doesn't it overwrite your default textures though?

The current CraftBoy skin matches the zombies. Still, could have a little more to it. I do love Frendens...

Sorry to double post, but I need to ask...

Could you take a look at the shovels? There's a floating piece of two pixels or so annoying me.

Admittedly, this is the pack I use the most...well besides my own :3

Also, I'm pretty sure this isn't possible, but is there anyway to change the default sky color?

Not by natural methods. It's been discussed many a times before.

I noticed this with the Bow, then with dropped arrows... that's when I twigged what was wrong. The whole items grid had slid down 1 pixel! :Diamond:

EDIT: Image removed, now included in pack

I was hoping to release the next version today, but no dice.
