Hi all

I use Windows 8 Consumer Preview as my main OS, however whenever I try Minecraft I get a black screen then this message :

      Bad video card drivers!
      -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Can anyone help? I use Windows 7 on a partition right now but it's inconvenient to keep switching,

Thanks in advance!

Yeah. You have a graphics card that isn't compatible, or minecraft isn't ready for Windows 8. It shouldn't be hard to update your drivers if something is wrong with your video card.
I used to play Minecraft, but then I took an arrow to the knee. And I played Skyrim.

This, or update your graphic's card drivers.

Have you tried actually using a different OS?

Unfortunately for you the Win8 Preview/Beta drivers from Intel are only working the 2nd/3rd Gen i3/5/7 CPUs....  Your on the old Arrandale which wasn't included for testing.

You might be able load the Win7 drivers by manually selecting them through the device manager, and using "browse my computer for driver software".

Yes I did, I now use Windows 8 as my primary OS. I use Windows 7 64 bit for Minecraft and other programs that require a lot of resources, as I dont have much at all on Windows 7

No, I mean did you DELETE Windows 7 on your PC or make a dual-boot system?
