You… are crazy. I do not mean this in a mean way, but… this is Minecraft Forums. Minecraft is rapidly gaining popularity and the rate of popularity increase is increasing. I seriously doubt that there will be a Minecon 2113 but there will be a Minecon 2013.

Have fun kids
but on a serious note now, just dont ask.....if its going to happen people will post about it, heck there was only 1 mine-con to promote the full release of the game who said they would be ever year? :/ If you ask here people will just give you fake answers or tell you what i told you soo just dont ask you'll hear about it if its going to happen any time soon

Also, no game dissappears, ever. Every game has a legacy, and people still play old games. Minecraft, by redefining an indie game development cycle and creating a multi-million fanbase despite an (originally) one-man-team, has earned a place in gaming history, and we will be telling our kids about the fun we had with the most popular indie game in history.

As for where Minecon 2013 is; it hasn't been announced yet. Although it would be nice if it was in Toronto, Canada cuz then I could go for sure and very easily.

Anyway, I don't think there'll be a Minecon 2013. I think that Minecraft will lose most of it's popularity by the middle of 2013. Sure there'll still be lots of players, but I think that there will be a huge drop in popularity in 2013 and that having a Minecon wouldn't be worth the cost of hosting in 2013. Minecraft isn't as popular as it was in early-mid 2011(and it got a bit more popular again at the tail end of 2011 because of Minecon and 1.0), when everyone was talking about it. Throughout 2012, more people have bought the game but more people have gotten bored too and way less people are talking about it. By 2013, the Xbox 360 version fad will die down too so there'll be a massive drop then because of that.
