Human Villagers
by nate111135, updated by Inofficially

Discontinued due to increased errors, will require re-write which I cannot do.

DOWNLOAD v1.8 Preview with Pigmen skins (Dropbox) REQUIRES MODLOADER.
(Added new witch and Zombie Villager model. Notable bugs: Witch and pig nose does not work, potions are held wrongly by witches. Please report more bugs if found. Incompatible with Forge)

Get rid of those ugly Squidwards!

Human Villagers mod is a mod that re-models Villagers to be the same species as your player. Instead of having squidwards or aliens from another planet, you can finally have some of your own people in your world.

Incompatibilities:
- ModLoader (modifies od/qd class. Use ML patch, install the patch last, not needed if using preview)
- Forge (modifies od/qd class. Use Forge patch, install the patch last. No patch for preview atm)

Requirements:
- MC 1.3.2 or 1.4.2 if using preview
- Patches if needed

- Nothing else!

Bugs:
- Outer clothing for villagers do not move, it's an annoyance. I'm going to look into it later on
- Pig noses do not work
- Witch noses do not work
- Witch holds potions wrongly

What other mods do you have? Did you install both of the class files?

Hmm, that seems complicated. But for now, just edit the files in the "Villager" folder by replacing the villager skin with your skin (keeping the extra clothing is your choice)

Weird, I might have to make a texture template.. Creating one now
Got lazy :P but I've added an example inside my FAQ (the texture pack question)

It would be really nice, actually it would be perfect if this mod used the char.png layout so that people could download skins and just rename them or make their own minecraft skin the same as the villagers without the need to recreate them using this different outline ;3

IF YOU DO NOT QUOTE ME, I WILL NOT SEE YOUR RESPONSE!

If it did, you wouldn't be able to see the professions of different villagers

too be honest... i dont care what they are ;3 and I can't tell from what they are wearing anyways. If I got to add the skins I wanted then they would all be different skins so yes I would be able to Posted Image

What I meant when I said they should use the char.png layout thing was that they should use the same size and layout so people who download the mod can go to the villager folder and place a skin that they want into it and rename it butcher.png or ect. and just overwrite the one that is there.

Well that's pretty much texture packing the textures.. Never knew there was going to be such a fuss about the skins. Well if I'm going to do what you're saying, then Villagers will seem and feel stupid..especially for me since they have no professions. My villager layout for the textures isn't the same size because I require room for the profession clothing. You can simply use a photo editing software like Paint.NET (what I use). Learn how to use it, then make your skin, overlapping the original skin. Or even copy and paste your skin over the villager skin. Let me edit the OP a little changing "match your player" to "be the same species as your player" if you're confused. If you overwrite the textures, the extra clothing it originally has is no longer there and makes the picture smaller. My layout is larger than the original just by the background so just extend your picture so it's the same size.
EDIT: Or possibly use this mod instead: Pigman Villagers
