I have been using worldedit for my server and am trying to make a portal that is larger than the normal 4x5. I have made a region but when I use the command "/fill portal" it only makes 1 portal block in the upper right side. Also, when i use the command "/item portal 10" and then use those on the obsidian, I can place one block but when i try to place another block next to it, they both disappear?

Any help please?

You can  a: spawn a flint and steel and light it up, even if it is restricted you sould be able to if you are op.

B: //pos1, //pos2 and //set portal to make it.

X=obsidian
Z=where portal should be
O= you when doung //pos1
J= you when doing //pos2

Remember to repair the frame BEFORE doing //set portal

Or to make it easy, place a block in each corner of the portal, use a woodenaxe and right/left click the blocks. Then you can type //set portal

hi alex, I've been having the same problem and have just been browsing for answers.  I think I can see a solution, but haven't tested it myself yet.

As far as I can see the problem happens because portal blocks are set to disappear whenever a block next to them changes.  So as world-edit puts new portal blocks in the ones it has just placed disappear.

The answer I'm going to go for myself is to get the related plugin World-Guard and use it with World-Edit.  First I'll use world-guard to define a region around the place I want to set my portal up in and set that region to have the physics value "allow portal anywhere".  Then I'll use the "//set portal" command from world-edit to (hopefully) set as many purple haze portal blocks in place without having them cancel each other as I put them down.

Like I say I haven't tested this myself, and its too late for me this night to go downloading and installing new plugins to do so.  but here are the links to the pages I looked at that make me think it should work.

hope it works out for you

err, so I ended up downloading worldguard and giving it a go.

turns out that "allow-portal-anywhere" isn't a flag you can set on individual regions within the world.  Instead it is a config options (true/false) that you set either for the whole server, or for a whole world at a time.

I tried setting it to true for the world I wanted to build a oversized portal in, then used worldedit to place multiple portal blocks like Fabian suggested and it worked :)

the portal even stayed in place in the frame of bedrock I'd made for it, after I set the "allow-portal-anywhere" config option to false and rebooted the server.  So if you can get a plugin and edit some configs you can set as many portal blocks as you want anywhere you want (pretty much)

Hmm. I tried. Instead of making no portal, It makes one portal in the top left. But other than that, Doesn't work.
