I play on an Mcmmo pvp server and am looking to level up really fast.  Because it's a month old, I really have no chance of being the best in things like mining and swords, but I'd like to maybe make the top 10 of a few skills.

There's a shop, and you can buy spawners of all types (cow, skeleton, zombie, creeper, etc.)  Even though this is expensive, I will be buying one soon.

I've built up a nice sized base and have almost all materials/can buy them.  What I'm looking for is the best ways to level up skills efficiently considering time and effort.

Acrobatics
I made a ladder and jump off of it every now and then to level this up.  I know there's ways to almost die, kill yourself, and then spawn and jump again, but I think that might take a bit longer.

Herbalism
I'm very interested in getting this skill up, because I could make mossy stone and sell it for a lot of profit.  What's the best way to do so?  I have a melon, wheat, and sugarcane farm, but don't know which is best, although I've heard it's cane.  Which farm should I expand and farm like crazy at?

Swords/Axes/Unarmed
After I set up my spawner, which skill is best to train? Which one is best in combat? If one is better, why do other people use the other ones?  What's the easiest to level up? I want to specialize in one.

Repair
Worth it or not?  I haven't experimented much with this.

Taming
Should I try to find wolves and breed them and mess with that?  Probably be hard to find any.

For acrobatics you should make a 23 tall block tower then WALK (not jump as it will kill you) off to leave yourself with 1/2 a heart, then have a cactus at the bottom of the tower to quickly kill yourself. To make this even faster, sleep in a bed at the top of your tower so you can repeat extremely fast!

For herbalism make a giant lane of sugar cane and when its grown do a massive run/hit farm run. Its extremely fast xp but you have to wait for it to regrow every time obviously.

For taming i'm not sure myself but taming wolves each give 250 xp and you get some decent xp from wolves attacking other mobs. A great mob to attack would be zombies since they're rather stupid. Just let the zombie hit you once then run and watch while your wolf kills it. Avoid spiders and skeletons because they will target the wolf after being attacked by the wolf a few times.

Hope this helped! Posted Image

Does the server have the precious stones plugin?  If it does and it has a stone that heals you, make a piston elevator that drops you 4 blocks to the bottom of the elevator.  A fast, consistent half heart of damage that you can AFK at with the healing stone really makes acrobatics fly by.

Any overworld mob grinder setup that includes skeleton spawning will help you get your combat skills up and give you a nice supply of arrows to level archery with.  Not only that, but the bones to bonemeal and make full size jungle trees to easily work to level your axe skill.

I'd suggest sugar cane for the crop to grow as well, but still make sure to keep the others on hand, last I knew they were worth more XP (my knowledge there is dated, last time I dealt with MCmmo is 1.0).
Do you have a lovely bunch of coconuts?  Do you have them all standing in a row?  Are there big ones, small ones, some as big as your head?

On the server I play on, spawners don't give combat exp. I don't know if this is mcmmo or the server. Beware of buying a spawner.

Kinda the wrong forum, but...

For mining, spelunking (exploring caves) at layer 32 and below and mining all the ores you see will make you level up extremely fast.

For mining xp go to the End and try dig up a lot of endstone, they give a ton of mining xp. You could do the same in the nether

Unarmed is the best for PVP in my opinion. You can deal some major damage if its a high enough level, and even unarm your opponents.

However, it isn't as effective against mobs because most mobs dont use weapons. And you cant take a skeleton's bow.

Axes deal massive damage to armor, so those are good if you are fighting a guy with iron or dimaond armor.

Swords inflict bleed. That way if they run into the safe zone, they may still bleed to death.

Unarmed is the most annoying the way I see it since it takes a long time to level up, but its worth it. Oh and BTW, mobs from spawners dont give MCMMO xp.

Mobs from spawners do give xp on the server I'm on.  That's basically the only reason they exist because everyone has tons of arros and bones anyway.

Axes have a nice knockback, and fist is very usefull if your wepon breaks.

Buy at least 2 skeleton spawners and then make a mob farm, use a sword to level up swords. After that, make a wheat farm like so:

Then, with the bone meal from skeletons, speed the growing and then harvest it. Replant the seeds, (After you have a large supply, and can last long without running out)  and repeat. When you're finished, it should look something like this:

On the second one, you shift on the ladders and do the proccess.

Hope this helps you with swords and herbalism.

you dont get mcmmo xp from spawner mobs.

Also, to level mining
make a piston, get gold ore, place one ore, push it with piston, mine it, repeat (it also dupes gold ore for you)

for maximum productivity, make more pistons in a row and line red stone behind them

On some servers you do get mcmmo exp from spawner mobs. And in my opinion Axes and bows is teh way to go. Axes can break armor VERY fast and then the skill has a bonus damage vs people with no armor, you do the math. Bows are just good and the only ranged option. for mining get a efficancy pickaxe and a normal pickaxe and go to the end. use the normal one for giga drill breaker and use th efficancy one for regular mining. one other thing is fishing... Dont underestimate fishing

Hey mate,

here are some tips i learned from using this plugin on the server i play on. i am the highest lvl on the leaderboards for that server.
1. Herbalism is all about a massive sugar cane farm. cut the top, then middle, then let it grow and repeat for max xp
2. Acro u already have explained by 23 block fall, rinse, repeat
3. For combat I highly recommend lvling up unarmed and axes, unarmed u can disarm an opponent, and axes u can break through their armor. axes and unarmed special is also best for one opponent like in pvp whereas swords is targeted for multiple ones. archery just get to as you can. also, mobs spawning from spawners do not grant xp, therefore make a pad style spawner which can be copied from ethoslab or docm's designs on utube
4. taming is the hardest skill to lvl up, dont worry about unless u feel like putting in tons of time. to do so just get tons of wolves and make them attack things, pretty basic
5. repair is not worth it until u are a really high lvl and want to save ur enchantments, otherwise dont bother. if u do choose to do it though, pair this with excavation. use gold shovels and repair them frequently for maximum efficiency
6. i highly recommend lvling up fishing because once u hit 150, although it is a pain to get it there, u can shake loose rare drops like ghast tears and blaze rods without killing the mob. do this multiple times and for long enough, and you will be the richest person on the server as well
7. mining is very very simple. find a lot of obsidian such as in the end in the towers, use superbreak and lvl up absurdly fast. when it wears off, simply mine endstone or other materials nearby and come back when it recharges

hope this helped,

Wawfactor

For herbalism there's a really easy trick.

1.Go to the nether
2.Go into a mountain thats touching the top of the nether
3.Disconnect then have a friend fill in the block's where you left
4.Relog and your ontop of the nether!
5.You will see a TON of mushrooms just collect those for a while and your herbalism will go up pretty fast! And theres no waiting the mushrooms are infinite ontop of the nether :D
