Click to view my own HD texture/resource pack tutorials - I'll show you how I made this pack, block by block!

About the Pack
LIFE is a resource pack that improves the game's visuals immensely, boasting lovely high-quality textures in order to make your MineCraft experience as enjoyable as possible. It uses real pictures to make the game look extremely realistic. The pack also benefits from simply stunning water and lava animations, as well as a beautiful interface. Please note that this is a work in progress; I am interested as to what you think of it, and whether or not I should continue in making it; therefore, all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

How to Install
I highly recommend using OptiFine after the 1.5 update to reduce lag.

Yep, they're textures I haven't got to yet. I put place-holders in most of the empty textures, but obviously not all of them. I'll fix this in my next update.

This texture pack looks incredible! One little suggestion, I think the regular stone would look much better if it was somewhat lighter.I hope this suggestion helps.

Nice job so far! Keep going! A little constructive criticism, but could you possibly make the stone less "grainy" and dark? It would be awesome if it fits in with the grass better. The pack really really makes Minecraft feel a lot more realistic! Can't wait until you finish!
You see that plus buton in the corner? If i helped you, give it a jab. It wont bite.(Probably) Oh and don't forget the random achievement!

Are these textures all yours? Or are they stock images?

I look at websites such as these for free textures:
http://www.photoshop...ne-textures.htm
http://www.photoshop...od-textures.htm

I have used my own images in a few, however. Any image I've used has been vastly edited too; I have to fit it in a block and make it seamless, etc.

Shouldn't you give them some credit then? And, I saw this:

Thanks for showing me that then. I found the website yesterday and thought it might be of some use. Obviously not now! I wouldn't normally have the Creative Commons bit but when I uploaded a pack on another account a while back everyone kept blatantly copying my work (someone has already done this for this pack). That annoyed me and I noticed others with the same license, so I thought I'd better put it there too. I'll scratch that website off my list then. Thanks for showing me.

I'm not saying you have to delete it, I'm just saying you need to give them credit and don't copyright it.

Right. I just feel the need to copyright it because I'm sick of people taking textures I've put together for the game. I appreciate your understanding.

The next update should bring lighter stone and place-holders for the new blocks from the recent snapshot.

Huge update, with ores and stone being completely revamped. They now blend better and have less of a grainy effect.

Good job with the textures you made yourself though! I'm working on a 128 pack too, I understand how hard it can be.
