This is the WIP thread of the upcoming mod, PaperMaché!
If you read this thread before, it would have told you what this was going to be. And now, I have finally made about half of it.
Of course, to get paper maché in real life would require a couple of newspapers, some cornflour you bought from the shops, and some water. Well, let's just say it isn't that simple in Minecraft.
As there is no shops, you have to MAKE cornflour, this can be a long process. Firstly, wander around to find the new Corn Fields Biome. In this area, you will find lush grass, and tall grass (you know the stuff) that is oddly coloured, as well as some other normal tall grass and some trees. This 'oddly coloured tall grass', also know as 'Corn Grass' is the basis of the mod, break it as you would tall grass to get corn kernels, this acts the same as regular tall grass gives seeds. As every farmer knows, planting corn kernels grows corn, so thats what you have to do with said corn kernels, plant them in tilled soil, preferably moist. This will take 2 or 3 days to grow into corn, which once you break it you only get 3 corn. You can either change corn into 4 corn kernels, ready to be planted, or eat it. You can place it into a grinder to get 2 cornflour for each corn, although this is quicker, it is less efficient than grinding corn kernels. Grinders run on redstone, and can grind 8 corn/corn kernels. If you wish to get 16 cornflour out of 1 redstone, grind corn. If you have more redstone, grind corn kernels.
As you can see, the Paper Maché mod can't even make paper maché yet. So stick around for it will be available for download soon! Can't wait? Here's a sneak peak!
This is all so far, if you have suggestions as to what else you can make with Paper Maché please leave them in the comments below!
I would like nice feedback, because I have usually made small mods that don't do much, but now I am putting myself out of my comfort zone, and I would like for that to pay off.
Thank you for reading,

Please note that the corn texture, corn crop textures, and corn kernel texture has been extracted from the Painterly Pack Customiser. If this breaks any copyright, I will remove these textures.
It would be cool if you could throw something like a paper maché ball on an enemy and slow him down, and if you throw enough balls (like 12 or so) the enemy would become completely unable to move and become a statue.
That sounds cool! But I am trying to based it * primarily* off real life, and when I had to make a paper maché sculpture, I wasn't allowed to throw it at stuff, good idea though! I might actually add it despite it being based on real life, no promises though.
Done! Updated so it explains everything, as well as a sneak peak! Sorry the sneak peak isn't there yet though, I will post when it is (probably 5 minutes, hang in there!)
Sorry, haven't replied to this thread in a while! It kinda died a bit (I'm sorry, thread!)
Anyway, I recently remembered this project (I lost track in school, so I might continue working on it again). MrTreefo! I will update this to the latest stable Minecraft and I might send you a pre-lease copy. SapioiT, that sounds like a cool idea, but I don't want to spend my day tearing my hair out like I did making the Grinder (a GUI item in the mod).
Wow. Hi everyone, long time no see. I see this forum has become quite popular (to my standards) and lots of people want me to finish it. SO, I am putting up a poll at the top of the page, and once there is like 10 people wanting me to continue, I will squeeze time out of my days to finish this. There is now a title update to 1.0dev. Here, I will give you some lore about this. I made little mods, nothing special, not many people used them, but then I had an idea to spend tonnes of time to make the best mod I can think of. I used furnace like blocks, biomes, blocks, items, food, crops, pretty much everything I can. What motivated me to do this was the fact I wanted to accomplish something cool that lots of people would appreciate. Finishing this would give me a great sense of motivation to make MORE mods (and hopefully better ideas, because to be honest, Paper Mache is kinda silly). BUT, I don't really have time because of school, homework, yada yada. Holidays are coming up so the first release would be by then IF everyone wants me to continue. So just vote up top, yes, or no.
