Key and Code Lock Mod
Version 1.3.2

Description:
This Mod adds 2 Doors:
The Code Locked Door and the Key Locked Door (and obviously keys)!
Also as of v1.0 two Redstonelocks (key and code locked)!

Changes:
Version 1.3.2:
- (finally) Update to 1.6.4!!

Version 1.3.1:
- fixed a big bug that you could set your key to a door that is locked by a friend/enemy/whatsoever with his/her key :/ Sorry for that one!

Version 1.3:
- CODE locked things are now all handled serverside and the client should have no access to the code in any way... (not completely tested, whitehat "hackers" are welcome!)
- Other changes and fixes
- Compatiblity with Minecraft [1.6.2] Posted Image

The bacteria mod doesn't need to be installed in the jar, you can just drop the zip file into the mods folder.



Installation:
MINECRAFTFORGE needed!

Easy way:

1. install MinecraftForge
2. copy my .zip file without extracting to "%appdata%/.minecraft/mods" directory
3. Enjoy the mod!


Security:
Key locked doors and redstone locks should be pretty secure!
CODE locked things are now (1.3+) all handled serverside and the client should have no access to the code in any way... (not completely tested, whitehat "hackers" are welcome!)

Just an FYI, does your mod add new blocks?

If it does, it COULD be incompatible with many mods. Make sure you add a config for the block data values, as well as posting what you set them to.

Also, why would you have a lock in single player? *Suggests porting to multi* ;)

And i know there are already config files... :D

And for singleplayer: maybe adventure maps :)
but i will port to multiplayer for sure ;)

Great mod!
About the mod for singleplayer, there are many ways to use locks without other players. Maybe you could even add a new mob which tries to open your lock or a device to crack the lock. There are so many possibilities!
But I can understand creating new properties can be very hard and I really like the mod so far!

Hmm... the code door I have a problem with. So you say, when you right click it you get a GUI with the text: 'new: '. If you every want to change it click the change button. Well, for one, if this were multiplayer, can't people just change the code? There are two ways i'd get around this, one, check if it is the person who locked it, or two, make you put in the original code. Just thought i'd bring it up. Good idea though!

i've got an idea,a keycard panel and a code panel wich active redstone when you have the good keycard/set the right password

I have an idea. What about a keyring which you could put keys on, and when you want to unlock a door, it would automatically use the right one? I'm not sure if its possible, but it would be really handy for me. Otherwise I love your mod.
